Children sermon 2017 - LOVE
Theme for 2017 “Love is to pray”
Mt
Prayer is much like a check to be countersigned by two parties.
I sign the check and send it up to heaven.
If Jesus Christ also signs it, it does not matter how large it is—it will be honored.1004

Eight-ninths of the bulk of an iceberg is below the waterline and out of sight.
Only one-ninth is visible above the surface.
Our prayer life should be like an iceberg, with about one-ninth showing in public group prayer and eight-ninths out of sight in our personal prayer time.1008
The story is told of a young girl who said, “Lord, I am not going to pray for myself today, I am going to pray for others.”
But at the end of her prayer she added, “And give my mother a handsome son-in-law!”
We just can’t seem to end a prayer without asking for something for ourselves!1009
Matt 7:7
We love Jesus means we pray in his name to God.
Our lives should be like iceberg.
The tip of the iceberg is 1/9 above the waterline and out of sight.
8/9 of the time is below the water that you cannot see.
Our prayer lives is like that.
When we love God, we talk to God.
When we talk to God, we bring our concerns and fear to God.
We ask God to help others and to provide answer and love for others.
When you are home, you pray by yourself.
When you pray, you close your eyes so you can see God in your heart and mind.
You tell God what you like him to do for you.
Jesus talk to God and Jesus teach us to talk to God.
So, when you are home or without anyone, you can pray.
Jesus loves God and he pray.
We love God and we pray for others and for us.
Amen.
