The Bread of Life

What does this mean?

It is not the Snack of Life - it is what keeps us alive

He doesn’t just provide food, he is the Food

When you get Jesus, you don’t get a rules to guide us through life, we get LIFE - HE is the life

He is the manna from God

he was the one to come down and meet our needs and satisfy us

he didn’t come to help us get what we desired before we were saved and knew him, but to change what we desire so many preachers just preach that Jesus came to help us get what we want but when we get saved, it changes what we want

Buddhism says desire is BAD and only brings suffering

But there is one thing that doesn’t lead to suffering, but to Satisfaction!

God gave us desire

When they hear the good news, they want it!

The answer is Jesus

Jesus gave us our desire - he is the creator

We had needs in the garden - air, food, companionship

But Our desires are designed to be fulfilled by the creator

We look for things to satisfy ourselves apart from God

True satisfaction isnt in the gift, but the giver

That is why I hate prosperity preachers - it is wrong

We come to God to get God

Our real desire is not for something, but someone!

Jesus alone can fulfill our desires

but we still look other places

Jesus can change our desire

Jesus cares about our suffering

That is why he is in this world

We all battle sin - so what is the answer?

He didn’t come to help us get what we desired before we were saved and knew him, but to change what we desire

When we eat the food of Jesus we don’t hunger
