What do you expect God?
What do you expect God?
A little history: Micah a prophet not from royalty but from poverty
(from Mic6:1-3)
Rebellious people that see no wrong, They have broken covenant
God brings an indictment against His people - in (vv.1-3) God invites them to make their case and let the hills, the mountains be the Witnesses
God reminds them
GOD’S HISTORY WITH THEM
I brought you up (v.4); I redeemed you (v.4); I blessed you (v.5) -remembering Balak wanting Baalam to curse Israel, but God wanted to bless them from (Num22-24); God bound himself to His Word (v.5) 0- by His Righteous Acts
People question God (vv.6-7)
Do you want? to bow down to you? Burnt Offerings?
How about quantity vs. quality (1000 rams); how about my firstborn?
God tells them (again) ( ) ! - previously when the rebelled and made the golden calf (Exo32:10-14) and God told them what he wanted ( on slide( )
He has told you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justice, to love kindness,
And to walk humbly with your God?
“Now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

Do justly -act fairly and deference to others: opposite of violence, oppression, fraud lying and injustice they were currently doing; To love mercy - this adds the spirit of graciousness to the acts of justice and gives assistance; To walk humbly - a lifestyle not just an event - this is walking by faith in all areas of your life, proving your love for God by your actions
God requires more than outward performance; He wants certain qualities of the heart - Righteousness, Love, Humility and faith -only way we can do that is to have the Spirit of God in us. So, Let the Spirit of God help you put into action the things God requires of us!
To love mercy - this adds the spirit of graciousness to the acts of justice and gives assistance
In closing - (on slide )
so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
