The world’s catholic population has increased significantly in the 21st century on every continent except Europe. During 2003 the worlds catholic population grew by 15 million. By the end of that year the worlds catholic population stood at 1.086 around the globe that is nearly one 5th of the worlds population.
The church was responsible for 64,000 nurseries or day care facilities. 28,000 primary schools. 39,000 secondary schools .This means more than 55 million pupils in Church run education. The Church manages 80,000 hospitals, clinics, homes of the aged and disabled, orphanages and counseling centers.
