the crowd - how could they know who touched him?

She wants the miracle, Jesus wants to talk to her

She probably would have been happy to just get healed and go away

She wanted an answer to her problems, he wants to confront her about her faith

She has been physically healed, but unless he deals with her right now, she’ll never become an eternally transformed disciple of his whose entire life is completely turned around and will be turned around forever and ever and ever

The personal encounter is vital, however, for anything really significant to happen—for faith to become real faith

miracles lead to a meeting

she had lived in shame for 12 years, but now she was seeing the light

“your faith has saved you” ลูกหญิงเอ๋ย ที่หายโรคนั้นก็เพราะลูกเชื่อ

Salvation = healing from a disease ความรอด

Physical = healing, but also healing from a disease รอดจากโรก

Salvation from sin and the curse รอดจากความบาป

Ultimately transformation of our bodies on the last day, a new heaven and new earth

she didn’t understand all of that, but

that is where the book is going - where jesus' life is going - the purpose of Jesus life

to make all that possible this is just a small part - like a window to the larger healing that Jesus is doing

More than "Go away and be happy"

Jesus isnt just a doctor, magician, but a Father and God

God does help us when we are not deserving, but he wants it to move from that to faith and relationship

discipleship is not just trying to get your needs met - it is growing by being with Jesus

being with him following him, knowing him and letting him know you

It gets more dramatic - this whole time Jarius is waiting

In this time, his daughter died

healed one and another died

the question is - why bother him any more?

1. because its never too late for Jesus to work

Maybe for doctors, medication, money, logic, friends, your own effort

We don’t trust his timing'

but Jesus is teaching us

Jesus never works on our schedule.

and it looks to us like it is unexcusable and unreasonable.
