There is an old story of a gardener who in his garden had a favorite flower which he watered and tended with great care. It was his favorite flower.  One day he came into the garden to find that flower had gone. He was dismayed and angry and full of complaints. In the midst of his resentment he met the master of the garden and hurled his complaints at him. “sssh!” said the master, “I took the flower for myself.” In the of sorrow of loss Jesus tells us that those we love have gone to be with God. He gives us the certainty that we shall meet them again.
