Pardoned And Paroled

Cf…preacher greeted boy after service; (going home with family lunch) What’s for lunch?...”goat!” …are you sure?
“Yeap!...heard dad say, we might as well go ahead and have the old goat.”
I feel like the old goat…
Believe apostle Paul felt like the old goat often times too.
Now, the theology here in book Romans gets really serious and to point…many might find it boring to read.
Notice, in V. 1 , the word,”therefore” connecting all been said in 4 chapters to this chapter…

God made a way for His people to escape condemnation…Eph.1:1-5…(expound)
Let’s consider this chapter.
I. PAUL IS SAYING THAT JUSTIFICATION BRINGS BLESSINGS TO ITS RECIPIENTS…
A. WE ARE JUSTIFIED BY FAITH…V.1- 4…thus…
1. We have peace with God…and this is not a feeling but a standing…(remember Ephesians)
2. We have Access to God…thru Jesus Christ, our advocate…1 Jn. 2:1-2
B. WE HAVE A SUBSTITUTE…who took our place, dying for us…Jesus made atonement.
Cf…example…Abraham and Issac…Gen. 22:8…fact that Abraham was willing to sacrifice Issac but God was
Willing to provide a substitute (lamb in thicket)
God has always provided…Gen.3:21…Rom. 5:8
C. WE ARE SAVED BY HIS PROVISION…His death for all of us.
1. We have peace with God the father…V. 1
Cf…we all want peace…now, in this life…we’ll not fine it!
In V. 3 Paul speaks of tribulations…
We have this access to the throne of grace…we can take it all to the father who knows…
We experience joy and hope as result of our position in Him.
Don’t be a trouble maker..!!
II. JUSTIFICATION IS CREDITED TO OUR ACCOUNT JUST AS SIN WAS…
Two great doctrinal subjects…Condemnation and Justification…
A. BY ONE MAN…V. 12…sin entered and death rained.
Cf… in Adam all die…something got into the blood stream that destroys our bodies…
Something of a sinful nature got into our souls…
Adam was head of our race…and something got into the blood line…as well as sin entered the heart/soul.
Adam was the federal head, also the seminal head, (his seed, all his descendants, all who existed within Adam in seed form were subjected to this poison).
We were all in the body of Adam when he sinned just as Levi was in Abraham when He meet Melchizedek…Heb.7:10
Cf…God makes a difference!...that is why he told Eve in Gen.3:15
God told Abraham in Gen.22:18…by a particular seed the nations be blessed.
God told David in 1 Chron. 17:11…he would perpetuate the kingdom (of Christ)
B. BY ONE MAN…came justification.
Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, a daughter of David(his seed as well as Abrahams)brought forth the incarnate…
There is nothing more wonderful nor beautiful as the entire redemption story in God’s Word.
From Adam (his fall) to you and I God has been working out our salvation all down thru history.
Cf… man drafted into Civil War..young man, a neighbor came and told himhe would take his place so he could
stay with his family….killed…tomb stone, “He died for me” ..people welpt.
