Information on significant or recent events conveyed through a variety of official or unofficial means. The ministry of Jesus Christ centred on the good news of the kingdom. The Greek word for “gospel” means “good news”. “What is it about Christmas that change even the most hardened heart to a genuine good will and peace toward our fellow man. It’s important that we understand the purpose and meaning of Christmas. Yes Jesus coming is good news but why? The first Christmas took place in a nation under occupation by a foreign military superpower. The people of Israel had been groaning under the oppressive Roman Empire. The Second Advent comes to a groaning world caught in bondage and decay yet filled with a hope that the pain’s of a world caught in a cosmic childbirth will give way to God’s love ultimately demonstrated in Christ’s return to renew all creation.”
