Ps.
85:8I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
I will hear what God the LORD will speak:

1)   Take time to be holy
2)   Be still and know that I am God

We know and trust that we are in Christ, that is, we are new creatures, separated from what we were.
All things our old selves love, we want them to die.
We want all things to become new in You!  Father, teach us that patient silence is /the best reply to a gainsaying world/?
Calm endurance answers some questions infinitely more conclusively than the loftiest eloquence.
Please Lord; help us to be anvils that break a host of hammers by quietly bearing their blows.
Teach us to rejoice all the time, to have joy even in times of sorrow!
Help us to have Your Word in our hearts abundantly that we are always in an attitude of prayer and praise because our thoughts are filled with You.
How do we thank You for those things that hurt and bring tears to our eyes?
Show us how to use these things to draw us closer to You?  What is it that You want us to do, to accomplish Your will in our lives, concerning Your Son Jesus Christ?
What saith my Lord unto His servant?
  …(Selah)…

if you would know the path of duty, take Me for your compass; if you would steer your ship through the dark billows, put the tiller into the hand of the Almighty.
Many a rock might be escaped, if you would let Me, your Heavenly Father take the helm; many a shoal or quicksand you might well avoid, if you would leave to My sovereign will to choose and to command.
“As sure as ever a Christian carves for himself, he’ll cut his own fingers;” this is a great truth.
“He that goes before the cloud of God’s providence goes on a fool’s errand;” and so he does.
You must mark God’s providence leading you; and if providence tarries, tarry till providence comes.
He, who goes before providence, will be very glad to run back again.
“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which you shall go,” is God’s promise to you.
Bring all perplexities to Me, and say, “Lord, what will You have me to do?” Leave not your chamber this morning without enquiring of Me!!

for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints:

Num.6:24
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: 25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: 26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
Rom.5:1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only /so/, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Phil.4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things /are/ honesta, whatsoever things /are/ just, whatsoever things /are/ pure, whatsoever things /are/ lovely, whatsoever things /are/ of good report; if /there be/ any virtue, and if /there be/ any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

but let them not turn again to folly.
O to grace how great a debtor \\ Daily I’m constrained to be! \\ Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, \\ Bind my wand’ring heart to Thee.
\\ Prone to wander—Lord, I feel it— \\ Prone to leave the God I love; \\ Here’s my heart—O take and seal it, \\ Seal it for Thy courts above.
