*01-GENESIS 32:01* \\ \\ Date: 12~/12~/2001 \\ Keywords: God’s will, presence, trials \\ \\ 12~/12~/2001 \\ 32:1 “Jacob also went on his way, and the angels of God met him.”
\\ \\ Jacob is on his way home, back to the land where God promised an inheritance-and he is met by angels.
\\ Even more amazing is that he saw them and knew he was not only in the place where God wanted him but the place where God is.
\\ If I can make a principle, I’d say whenever we move toward the will of God for our lives, we will know His presence and His blessing.
As Jacob met Esau, their reunion was blessed, despite the way they parted and despite Jacob’s fears when he heard his brother was approaching with 400 men.
\\ When they arrived in the land of Canaan, they consecrated themselves and settled down.
At this point, one would think the blessings would flow, but they immediately met difficulty.
One of their daughters was raped by a local who claimed that he loved her and wanted to marry her.
\\ Being in the will of God, in the place that He wants, does not guarantee smooth sailing.
Others will see and desire our “fruit” and try to seize it for themselves.
\\ No matter how unlawfully they behave, how we respond will make a difference.
I wonder what might have been if Jacob’s family confronted these pagans for sinfully seizing that which they had no right to do.
How would things have been had they asked God to deal with these enemies instead of taking matters into their own hands?
\\ We cannot know the what if’s but I’m glad to know that God is with me when I seek His will for me, even should my “enemies” make it appear otherwise.
