*01-GENESIS 18:25* \\ \\ Date: 1~/6~/2001 \\ Keywords: Intercession, prayer, temptation, worldliness \\ \\ 1~/6~/2001 \\ 18:25.
\\ Far be it from you to do such a thing-to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike.
Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?
\\ \\ Abraham is pleading with God for his nephew Lot.
Lot is a man of faith living in the wrong place, tempted to be there because of the wealth that place offers.
God is about to destroy it and Lot could be also destroyed.
\\ Is this any different from Scott?
Or Darcy?
Or even Karen?
While I’m not so certain about Karen, I know the other two have faith but are living in a worldly way, caught up by the temptation to have money, to be comfortable, etc.
Eventually, God will destroy the entire system that has them entrapped.
Far be it from Him to also destroy His children as He does it.
\\ Earlier, I wrote how I didn’t seem to trust God to answer my prayers for my kids.
He gave assurance and now He does it again.
He is not into destroying His own.
While I need to continue to pray for them, I can do it with the understanding that He will not treat the wicked and the righteous alike.
He is not patiently ignoring them as He does those who reject Christ, nor is He holding them for the day of judgment.
He has a plan for their lives and that plan includes saving them from His wrath against sin, even the sin that they live in the midst of every day.
Oh God, rescue them soon.
