The Final Battle

In Rev 19:19-21
Revelation 19:19–21 NKJV
And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.
The stage is set for the battle of the ages
Who are the players?
Satan, Anti Christ, Kings of the earth, Their armies, The false prophet
Jesus and the army of His saints
Why does the enemy think that victoryis possible?
Rev 13:2-3
Revelation 13:2–3 NKJV
Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.
Satan delegates his authority to the Anti-Christ
In the begining: Psalm 24:1
Psalm 24:1 NKJV
The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.
Man was given dominion over the earth Gen 1:26
Genesis 1:26 NKJV
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Man surrendered his dominion when he rebelled and disobeyed God
Man then became a servantt of Satan unto death rather than a servant of God unto life!
Romans 6:16–17 NKJV
Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.
It was a that time man delegated his dominion to his new master
From that moment until now Satan is holding rule over the earth
The mission of Jesus was to redeem the world
Luke 4:5–7 NKJV
Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”
Jesus did not refute the facts as presented...Satan had the authority
But there is a difference between having authority and being the source of it!
Hebrews 2:5–9 NKJV
For He has not put the world to come, of which we speak, in subjection to angels. But one testified in a certain place, saying: “What is man that You are mindful of him, Or the son of man that You take care of him? You have made him a little lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, And set him over the works of Your hands. You have put all things in subjection under his feet.” For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
This verse clearly states the total redemption of the promice has not yet been manifested
There is a day that the total redemption will take place
Revelation 5:1–5 NKJV
And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals. Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?” And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it. So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it. But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”
It is within the plan and purposes of God that the full redemption has not yet taken place however...we have been given a gaurantee of the promice!
Those who now desire to live for God in obedience have now been empowered to by the indwell Holy Spirit
Ephesians 1:13–14 NKJV
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
We are warriors in a battle for the control of the earth and the souls of men
2 Thessalonians 2:1–8 NKJV
Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
It is the Holy Spirit in us that the evil one of this day is being restrained from accomplishing his plans. There is a day coming though that the presence of the Hoy Spirit will be removed (that is the church) and the rapid downward spiral of humanity will ensue.
Verse 2 says "...not to be soon shaken or troubled" - Why?
John 16:33 NKJV
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
It is because of the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit and His operations that we have power, authority, and victory over the evil one in this age!
