Problems With This Chosen Generation

PROBLEMS WITH THIS CHOSEN GENERATION

1 Peter 2:9-16

I.                    The Lack of Spiritual Dedication.

Reasons for which:

A.     An emphasis on people pleasing.

B.     The subtlety of Satan.

1)      He convinces us that we must not be an offence at any cost.

2)      He says as he did to Eve, “Hath God said?”

C.     No real desire within!

D.     Settling for mediocrity rather than excellence.

II.                 A Deep Desire To Please the Flesh. (Feeding the Beast Within.)

A.     All of us can circum to it.

1)      Yet, we do not need to give in to it.

2)      We are not powerless.

3)      We do have a choice.

B.     Many loose this battle.

III.               A Spiritual Desire to Please God. (What’s Needed.)

A.     By which our works are visible to all and a glory to God.

B.     An opportunity for others to see the preciousness of Christ.

C.     A daily drill and habitual practice that benefits the soul.
