The Blessings of Goodness

1 Peter 3:10-12

Intro: Peter is here quoting from the 34th Psalm verses 12-16.

I. There is a definite blessing for those who know how to live.

A. The blessing of loving life.

B. The blessing of seeing good days.

II. There is a way to live.

A. Refrain your tongue from evil.

B. Lips that speak no guile.

C. Eschew evil.

D. Do good.

E. Seek peace, and ensue it.

III. There is a reason for this dedication.

A. The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous.

B. His ears are open to their prayers.

C. The Lord is against them that do evil.
