Expiation and Atonement

1 Peter 3:18a

I. CHRIST’S ONE TIME SACRIFICE SUFFICIENT FOR ALL OUR SINS.

A. No more sacrifice for sins.

B. No deed can add to it, but rather takes away from it.

C. Christ, the Son of God, The Lord, The Alpha & Omega, The God Man.

II. ALL SINS ARE COVERED NOT JUST THE PAST, BUT THE FUTURE AND PRESENT .

Man’s propensity to sin is in his inherited nature. Christ disabled the seed of sin.
