Enemies of the Disciplined Life

Sometimes, no matter how hard we try, we have difficulty

developing new disciplines in our lives.  Knowing these enemies

can help us overcome them and live a life that glorifies God.

THE BATTLE WE ARE IN:

Satan is looking to devour us.  1 Peter 5:8,9

Sinful desires war with in us.  1 Peter 2:11-12

We need the armor of God. Ephesians 6:11-18

WAYS OF ATTACK:

            Distract us.  Matthew 13:22

            Deceive us.  Matthew 7:15-20

Distort the faith. 1 John 1:5-10

           Dilute us.

Against many Christians the most effective attack is to dilute us.

FOUR WAYS IN WHICH WE MAY BECOME DILUTED:

           Worldliness James 1:13-15

            Retreating Luke 5:27-32

            Hyprocrisy Matthew 23:25-26

            Complancy 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22
