Have you ever received a trophy or a medal? What was it for? What did you have to do in order to get it? What does it mean? What does it say about you?
Hard work / dedication / sacrifice/ paid a price / victory.
God will not look you over for medals, degrees or diplomas, but for scars.

Last time we saw John witness the rapture and the throne room of Heaven… in this chapter we’ll see a special event in heaven that causes all of heaven to bow down and worship when it happens… and frankly will cause you to do the same.

V.1)
God holds the book in His open hand according to the original language, not holding it back.
Book actually means scroll
With writing on both sides is a sign of completion there is no more room to write, because there is nothing left to write.
V.2)
Strong angel speaks to how important this task was, wasn’t given to just anyone.
Suggests a search was done in all of creation for one who had paid the price to deserve to receive this book.

No one was found qualified. (in heaven, earth, or hades).
V.4)
Why was John so broken up about this?
Seems in heaven we’ll understand things much better then than we do now.
John understood what the book/scroll represents and the consequences of no one being worthy to open it.
The “book” represents the “Title Deed” (titulo/escrituras) of man’s inheritance… the earth.
God gave the title deed of the newly created earth to Adam
Gen. 1:26-30. (Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish, birds, etc… Look! I have given you every plant, tree, bird, animal, etc.)
When Adam fell he forfeited (perdio) the “Title Deed” to satan.
4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

6 “I will give you the glory of these kingdoms and authority over them,” the devil said, “because they are mine to give to anyone I please.
7 I will give it all to you if you will worship me.”
8 Jesus replied, “The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’”

Biblical rules of inheritance:
25 If one of your fellow Israelites falls into poverty and is forced to sell some family land, then a close relative should buy it back for him.
25 Si uno de tus hermanos israelitas se empobrece y se ve obligado a vender alguna propiedad familiar, un pariente cercano debería comprarla para él.
if a land is lost for whatever reason, only a kinsman (family member) is qualified to buy it back.
The book of Ruth is a perfect example of God’s plan of redemption...
Naomi lost her land due to poverty (sold it)
Boaz (a wealthy relative), stepped in to save it and purchase it.
He redeemed the land that Naomi lost but he did to obtain a bride “Ruth”.
In the same way..
Adam became poor (due to sin) and lost his possession (the earth)
only a kinsman could buy the land back
But he’d have to pay the sale price (sin)
wages of sin = death.
Only a sinless kinsman of Adam could redeem the land.
So Jesus had to be born a man (kinsman) and had to be sinless (to pay price upon death).
And when He redeemed the land He also got His bride (the church).

An elder (presbutero) explains what’s going on. (john 15:15 “...you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.”)
“Don’t weep a kinsman has been found”
Jesus has prevailed (paid the price) and is worthy (kinsman (familiar) of Adam - the root of David).
Isaiah 11:1 “1 Out of the stump of David’s family will grow a shoot— yes, a new Branch bearing fruit from the old root.”
Isaiah 11:10 “10 In that day the heir to David’s throne will be a banner of salvation to all the world. The nations will rally to him, and the land where he lives will be a glorious place.”
Isaiah 11:1 (NTV) “Del tocón (tronco) de la familia de David saldrá un brote (retoño). Sí, un Retoño nuevo que dará fruto de la raíz vieja.

The Lamb with the marks of his crucifixion.
Number seven is the sign of perfection or of completion.
In Jewish culture and throughout the Old Testament, Horns were a sign or a symbol of power.
“Eyes” symbolize His all-watchful and wise providence for His Church, and against her foes.
7 Spirits: (Is. 11:2)
1) The Spirit of the LORD
2) The Spirit of wisdom
3) The Spirit of understanding (entendimiento)
4) The Spirit of counsel (consejo)
5) The Spirit of power
6) The Spirit of knowledge (conocimiento)
7) The Spirit of the fear of the Lord
V.7)
This is the moment of truth. Jesus’ coronation. He takes the title deed to the Earth in his hand.
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

He's given the down payment (pago inicial/entre). Escrow (fideicomiso) has closed and now he's being handed the keys to the House!
The king is coming it's time for him to move in!
Tremble Satan my king is coming to take back what belongs to him!!!
Now everybody will see “The Lion of the Tribe of Judah”.
7 Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see him— even those who pierced him. And all the nations of the world will mourn for him. Yes! Amen!

Christ will now begin setting up his visible kingdom on Earth.
In the next chapter, he begins to open the seals. and the judgments began to fall on Earth.
Now it's going to get good!!! Boy, will I be glad to be on the right side of this event.
V.8-14)
After He takes the scroll… for the rest of the chapter, heaven and all of creation breaks out into one giant worship service.
Because of this moment of coronation, where the lamb begins to move. He will now begin to establish as visible kingdom on earth.

If your worship is rusty, you better start working on it! (Si tu adoración está oxidada, ¡será mejor que empieces a trabajar en ello!)
If you have not placed your faith in Jesus Christ, you better do it now or else, you will be on the wrong side of this event.
Repent today. Give your life to Christ. Get right with him now.
Because the King is coming soon!!!!! (El rey ya viene)
