The Remnant of Israel (1-10)

God has not rejected His people Israel. The proof is the remnant pattern.
Paul was part of the remnant.
Elijah was just one of many who had not bowed the knee to Baal.
There is now a remnant chosen by grace (verse 5-7). Elect here refers to believing Jews.

The Redemptive Plan of God for Gentiles (11-24)

God’s purpose in including Gentiles in His redemptive plan was in part, to provoke Israel to jealousy.
Israel’s rejection of Christ has led to the salvation of the Gentiles.
Don’t boast against the branches, but recognize both the severity and kindness of God.
We cannot ignore parts of God’s nature, he is both just and merciful, severe (lit. to cut off) and kind.

The Return of Israel (25-32)

“until the fullness of the Gentiles”
All Israel here is believing ethnic Israel will be saved. There is coming a future national repentance of Israel and acceptance of Christ.
The 144,000 witnesses are Israelites.
The promise of Scripture is steadfast. (Isaiah 59:20-21). Also, Jeremiah 31:33-37).
Isaiah 53 is the national prayer of repentance for Israel.

The Hymn of Rejoicing (33-36)

Rejoice in God’s goodness and mercy toward you. Praise God for His wisdom!
