*“Worship That Can’t Be Stopped”*
*The Word Luke 19: 38 – 40 *
*“[The Disciples shouted]: “God bless the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”…. the some of the Pharisees in the crowd spoke to Jesus.
“Teacher,” they said, “command your disciples to be quiet!”
Jesus, answered, “I tell that if they keep quiet, the stones themselves will start shouting.”

*The World *
*A poster and a mailing tube.
*
* *
*        If you wanted to mail this poster to a friend, you’d have to roll it up and put it in a mailing tube.
(Push the poster through so it sticks out the other side.)
But the postal clerk would tell you that you can’t mail the poster with one end sticking out.
So you shove it back.
But then look want happens.
If you solve the problem by pushing one side in, the other side sticks out.
One end of the poster is always going to stick out.
*
*        Something like this happened on the first Palm Sunday.
As Jesus came into the city, the people shouted., “God bless the king who comes in the name of the Lord!
Peace in heaven and glory to God!” The people worship Jesus as though He were God.
some of the religious leaders who did not believe He was God became angry.
They told Jesus, “Teacher, command Your disciples to be quiet!”
They did not want other people to hear great things about Jesus.
They were afraid that even more people would believe in Him.
But Jesus said, “I tell you that if they keep quiet, the stones themselves will  start shouting.”
The praise for Jesus was like the poster in this tube.
It couldn’t be hidden.
The praise came from the disciples.
But if the disciples had not shouted the message of Christ, someone else would have.
Jesus as when I push one end of the poster in the tube, the other end comes out, if someone stops praising Christ, another will start.
Because Jesus is God, He has to be praised.
His glory and mercy cannot be hidden.*
*        People have continued to praise Jesus for 2,000 years.
Now it is our turn.
We are the ones who can now see the great things that Christ does for us.
Our worship shows that we believe He is not far away, but that He is present with us to receive our praise and to give us His blessings.*
*        Jesus does not depend upon our praise, but we do depend upon His blessings.
If we do not praise Him, someone else will.
But those who worship Him are those who enjoy His presence, who share in His life because they know He has shared in theirs.
Lets your worship be the kind that can’t be stopped.
It’s one of the things that you can do now – that you can also do forever.
Amen .*
