Take your Bible and join me if you wouldn't Isaiah chapter 54, Isaiah chapter 54 and I'll begin reading when you found your place there in verse 11. The Bible says in Isaiah 54 verse 11 through 17. Doubt flicted tossed with Tempest and not comforted. Behold, I will lay down stones with Fair colors and laid by foundations with Sapphires and I will make my windows of agates and I Gates of carbuncles and all that borders of pleasant stones and hold her children shall be taught of the Lord and great shall be the Peace of thy children in righteousness shall be established that shall be far from oppression for Thou shalt not fear and from terror bird shall not come near thee behold they shall surely gather together, but not by me whosoever Shall Gather together against the shelf fall for that I sake. Behold, I have created the Smith that bloweth the coals in the fire and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper and every tongue that shall rise against the in judgment Thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the Servants of the Lord and their righteousness is of me. Saith the Lord.

Oh, heavenly father I come before you in this moment and I asked for clarity of thought Lord. I pray that you would remove any distractions from the heart and mind as we approach your work and got I do pray for Liberty to be able to preach freely. What you would have said God. I pray that my words would not intervene with what your word wants to accomplish. I pray that you would hide me behind Jesus this morning that we would look and see the work that he wants to do in our heart and life that we would be in tune with that that we would be opening and accept what you're doing jail or even more so maybe we have confidence in the work that you will finish according to your grace in Jesus name. I pray amen. Someone once said that the church is not a gallery where we exhibit the finest Christians.

I wish that were the case but it's not and so I have a little rough around the edges and that if she look around the folks sitting next to you, they would probably admit the same thing. Maybe they won't but we're all just just sinner saved by grace the same person went on to say not only is the church not a gallery where we Christians know. He said it is a school where we educate and encourage imperfect Christians. I can't agree with that statement because I need more education. I haven't learned everything yet. I have not arrived. End up as we think about what we're doing today Gathering under the banner of the word of God Gathering was with folks who were like-minded who believe the same thing about Jesus and the same thing about this book and Why We Gather here today, you see the Lord wants to accomplish some things in our life, and we need to become established. But you know, we can build on our own for sure. We can lay foundations ourselves. We can do things that

Are in our own strength in the Bible talks about those things by the time it's all said and done is being wood. Hay and stubble and I want to encourage you to look in your life and see how the Lord is building you because the Lord is a builder. Amen. He's a Creator and he can create like we can't he creates out of nothing and he speaks the world into existence of his people now, please let's keep a context. We're all in agreement that Isaiah 54 is written to who Israel. And so when we're looking at the nation of Israel, we don't want to make the mistake of thinking that we've replaced is real. No, that's not the right. We're going but are we children of Israel by faith? If you believe in Jesus Christ, then you are an heir to the promises through Jesus. So at the same time on the same token that we do not. Replace Israel, if we go so far to that side of the pendulum that we remove all application from us. We do the scriptures a great disservice. And there are many applications that we can make from this passage that applied directly to our Christian lives and I want to help you with that this morning think about a flock of geese, you know, where you're going to see if maybe you saw some coming in. I saw some down Midway on the way to the office. I guess I Midway is over here now at the end they were at they were out there. And and and I that's one thing that I appreciate about Colorado is is the fertilization we get from all the geese that come in land on the grassy man and just watch where you walk on the sidewalks and you'll be okay. Discover the fields. Have you ever seen them seeing them fly? And and I'm sure I'm not telling you anything new about see formations. Maybe you can make you can educate me about a v formations in in Wind current an updraft and all these things from what I understand. I mean, I've never float in the air with a flock of geese. So I don't know I'm just going off what people tell me here. But how you know, they fly in a V formation for reason and you got one that's in the front waiting everyone and he's flapping his wings harder than anybody else because he's creating an updraft from his wings and those that are flying behind him in that v formation is he'll go for as long as he can and then he'll he'll come around to the back and and he'll cruise for a while and he doesn't have to work as hard the updraft helps carry in that first that first Goose course leads the way This really breaks down terribly but the Lord is my shepherd and he leaves me and he really is the one that himself, you know using his own words. He said come to labor and are heavy laden and I'll give you rest see what happens. If sometimes we want to get out in the front and we can have their laugh as hard as we can and we might need a lot of wind in behind us riding on that wind, but you know what we can only go for so long. I'll tell you the Lord is not a goose and the Lord he does give pictures in the scriptures of him being more like an eagle. That would be a picture wouldn't it to see a flock of geese flying eagle? I don't know. I don't know if that would ever happen. I doubt it because snow geese and Eagles there of two different, you know strains of Birds all together, but it would cover us with his feathers and in and Israel. He talks about bearing them up as On Eagle's Wings. So when we get to the place where we just can't do it anymore. It's time for us to fall back in rank and get behind the wings of one who will never falter nor fail one who has the strength that we lack one who can carry us when we can carry ourselves. And that is the Lord and that uplifting that edification that building up you see we work together in this because as it as you go down the line which one of those geese flying in formation or lifting up the other one around them and then we just carry each other along and we can soar above the storms of life together. So that's a beautiful picture. I know but when Believers in Christ actively uplift one another and we do this through prayer through sharing our material means that we may have heart heart friendship when we genuinely care for one another and we can go further in godliness and we can attempt greater things for the Lord and we can have his Blessing in ways that we would never dream. So let me encourage. The troubles the tribulations that God's people are LED through sometimes mean. Let's let's keep it in context here and Isaiah 54, Isaiah is just shared with him about tremendous suffering about trials and afflictions of their faith. And in fact, he opens in verse 11 of chapter 54 and notices words to them. He says oh thou afflicted. Are you Afflicted? What is real was afflicted in the servant was certainly smitten and through his stripes. We are healed tossed with Tempest think about a ship on the seat. It's just real to and fro you don't this is characteristic many times of our walk with the Lord, isn't it? The afflictions upon us are many and the tossings the attorneys the storms that come to the fires that we endure. We can't do it alone. We've gone so long without comfort that there's a comforter and it's the Holy Ghost and he is the agent of God that wants to do a work in your heart and life. See God's in the building business. He wants to build us up or what's his pattern. There's a few things here that I can share with you that I think will help you understand what we are Road through sent because that's how these real got in the mess. They were there they walk away from God and God had to send judgement. We do the same thing. We were all Sinners and we fall short of the glory of God. And as we do that what we owe Road by sin, you know all that we tear down. Jesus Christ through his righteousness came and died on the cross and he paid for all our sin everything which we tear down. The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ Our Lord builds up and what he builds nobody can destroy like the church at Philadelphia. He said he said before them an open door that no man can shut and there's a way there's things that our God does we can do and let us take comfort in that and let us rest under his wings under his Divine protection and the Lord will build you up when he builds you up to eliminate you as you spend time in his word and you'll be able to rest knowing that you're secure on every side from all that may come at you. This is the way our God works exhort you this morning have confidence in the work that God is doing in your life on your behalf. Can you have confidence? Can you wait I say on the Lord? What's the song that said as we're firmly established being established by the way, you would say that is definitely established that is not going anywhere that has been around long enough and it's built on a solid foundation. It is not moving. I don't care what wind blows against it. I don't care what Waters rise against it. I don't care what it goes through its not moving its established. You seek God gives us his blueprints for building his people. How is he going to be all along with me and you'll notice that they need to be properly edify inverses, 11, 12 18, V properly illuminated and verses 13 and 14 and they need to be properly fortified by the Lord himself in verses 15 to 17. And this is the Lord's doing and it's marvelous in our eyes consider first with me. If you would the Lord's edification as it opens, I mention the word inverse number 11 that Isaiah uses. He he looks it is real here. Is he speaking on behalf of the Lord and he says Not comforted. This is the state in which there and they're at a loss. They don't know what to do. And I I looked at word of flipped it up. And and I thought you know when I was studying this out the first verse that came to my mind when I saw the word Afflicted was in the song. where David said it was good for me that I have been Afflicted because before I was afflicted I went astray but the Affliction of God brought him back now, this doesn't do any discredit to that thought but Word Affliction here is not the same word. It's a different word and when you look it up, you'll find out that it's not translated in that verse in Psalm 119 unless I overlooked it and I and I missed it. I mean correct me if I'm wrong don't look it up and see if I if I didn't find a properly but every time you see this word in the Hebrew that's translated Afflicted here. It's translated as poor is translated as as poor and needy and as humble it's translated as Afflicted as here. That's the idea. I'm poor. That means I'm bankrupt and I've wasted all I've got nothing left to show for it. No, Jesus said in the Beatitudes blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. She that's when the true riches come is when you realize you have none. I forgot all our righteousness is as filthy rags, Isaiah will say in Isaiah 64:6 Webster defines Afflicted as Webster's 1828 dictionary tells us that Afflicted is with continued and often repeated pain. Continued often-repeated pain is that descriptive of Israel's history repeated pain? Oh, yes there flicted very much. They've been Afflicted either body or of mine. He goes on to say suffering grief. And how would we Define grief grief is a change of circumstances you're expecting one thing and something else happens and you don't have to experience death necessarily to go through grief. You can go through grief just because you get up one morning and your car won't start and then everything breaks down from there and you got to read before you sit down before it's all over in your kick in the car. You're angry at it and you sit down you say was not working. And give up or you can say well I'll just call somebody who knows how to fix it and we'll get it towed in wherever needs to go and and I'll give my boss a call. Tell him I'll be a little late for work. But I'm going to get there in the day is going to go on I'm not going to lay down and die in this you see Israel has suffered great grief. I believe they've been through a lot the stress of any kind. That would be Affliction followed by Migos on affected by the loss of a child rheumatism with losses. Those are some of the examples he gives I want you to turn over and look with me at verse at the psalm 34 tell me show you this first before we turn over to Psalms verse 11. It says Old Olive flicted toss with Tempest and not comforted. Not comforted not having that one that come along and give you that soulless you just you you're at a loss you're tossed to and fro he goes on to tell him he's going to do something for them. He's going to help them by laying stones with Behr colors. I want to I want to read Psalm 34 because it's just a wonderful backdrop to this passage and I see so many correlations in and I may spend the rest of my time in Psalm 34 never make it out and that's okay. Just tell me watch the clock. OK the time will fail me. I know for sure but we've got to see this because the psalmist the psalmist draw so many so many pictures in Psalm 34 is a Psalm of David when he changed his behavior before abimelech who drove him away and he departed you knowed if anyone knew about afflictions David did look at first number one. He says this I will bless the Lord at all times his praise shall be continually in my mouth. After you've been driven Away by Linda like he says I'm going to praise God. Anyway, first to my soul shall make her boast in the Lord The Humble shall hear thereof and be glad in it. He invites us everyone. Oh magnify the Lord with me. Let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord and he heard me and delivered me from all my fears. Do you think Israel is a is a little scared about what's going to happen. Maybe not in Jose today, but they ought to be what is going to happen. There's a lot of fear and David says I I sought the Lord I I I found him out and he heard me and he delivered me from all my fears. They looked under him and work late notice the elimination there and their faces were not ashamed and verse number 6 I've highlighted the word on the street for you, cuz it's the same word that I say to use and Isaiah 11 5411 when he says Afflicted David says this Afflicted man this poor man cried. And the Lord heard him came in and saved him out of all his troubles campus roundabout fear him. What does he do? He delivers them that cth, by the way, that's continually that's over and over. He he continues to deliver us. And he says he'll taste the word taste is to experience that is experienced God o taste in your eyes will be opened. If you would just be able to experience God you'll be able to perceive that the Lord is good. You are blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Oh fear the lord. He his Saints. There's no one There's No Lack if you would to them that fear Him All the Young Lions, they do lack and suffer hunger. But they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. You children notice the children. I will teach you the fear of the Lord. What man is he that desires life and love as many days. Yep, I would get there too. Good. I would like that a speaker for things.

Be honest and integrity depart from Evil to good seek peace and pursue it. Go after those things the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and his ears are open unto their cry Hwy righteous. It's through Jesus Christ. I'll cover that in a moment and Isaiah. The face of the Lord is against them that do evil. That's not what I want to be. That's not where I want to sit. I don't want the Lord's face against me to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. First number 17, the righteous cry and the Lord heareth and deliver them out of all their troubles were back to the start again of Salvation and deliverance first 18th. The Lord is not he's near if you will under them that are of a broken heart. You know who that is. That's those who've been Afflicted in their poor now and our hearts are broken because of everything we've been through. That's who the Lord is close to that's who he's nearby and that's who he saves those who are the contrite spirit and then burst number 19. Watch this many are what? Yes infliction of who not the wicked but the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of just some of them.

All afflictions. He keep it all his bones. This is Messianic. We're looking at Jesus here. He keep it all his phone's not one of them is broken. That's how we have deliverance from all tribulation. It's only through Jesus Christ evil shall slay the wicked and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate newsflash. Did you know there are people who hate you for being right in Jesus Christ, not self-righteous. Nobody likes me one who self-righteous but I'm talking about just trying to do good and serve God and be right when God says something is right and got something is wrong there people who do not like you for saying that there is a difference between right and wrong the Lord redeem. Is he buys back the soul of his servants notice his servants. So we've seen his children. We've seen the elimination. We've seen his servants. All this is going to come into play and Isaiah. None of them that trust in him shall be desolate. You see the Lord is in the building business and he wants to firmly establish us. How does he establish a step? Number one, you need a good foundation back and Isaiah and our texts and Isaiah 54 verse 11 because we've been Afflicted because we're poor because we've been lost because we can find no Comfort. The Lord says, I will lay your foundation. I will lay your Stones. Excuse me. Those stones are talking about a pavement playing as best as I can tell and the stones are are you look back and Isaiah 54. He says behold. I will lay. Stones with Fair colors coming to some imagery. That'll just leave your mind swimming. Try to imagine and picture all that Isaiah's describing. I don't get confused. I don't believe we're looking at the same thing that's described in Revelation 21. Adequate got it all figured out yet. But I believe Revelation 21 is going to tell us where he looked at the moment. It's going to tell us about the millennial Jerusalem in the Eternal Jerusalem. Excuse me in here. We're looking at Jerusalem that the Lord's going to rebuild Fair stones will be the pavement that people walk on and we know that the Eternal state will be streets of gold. So there are some differences. I don't want you two to take those and say will this is a contradiction know you just need to study it out. He needs to flush out. This is to Israel. And in John is Revel aiding and he's he's talking to tell all believers at that point you are in the Eternal state. So the first thing is we've got to have a good foundation. Right? I mean if we're going to build we we need to have a good foundation in this is part of the Lord's edification. Is David said this poor man cried and the Lord heard it and delivered him and saved him out of all of his troubles. Hey, the Lord's foundations. The Lord's foundations are strong. They are unchangeable by hearken to to Jesus's words if you turned over to Matthew chapter number 7, let's look what Jesus describes as foundations for us in Matthew chapter 7 verse number 24 Jesus talking to his disciples at the club. The Sermon on the Mount 30 quart of The Sermon on the Mount this morning blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is he that's how you started it. We don't have time to go through the whole Sermon on the Mount. I wish we did but we don't and you're saying thank you Pastor because it would take a really long time to do that Matthew 5 6 7 so we come to Matthew 7 look how he closes. The Sermon on the Mount uses their 4 verse 24 whosoever heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them I will liken him unto a wise man which built his house upon a rock and what happened the rain descended and the floods came And the winds blew and beat upon that house and it fell not. Established. It was founded upon a rock and every one that heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them nacho be liken unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand and the rain descended in the floods came and the winds blew and beat upon that house and it fell and great was the fall of it now watch the response after Jesus closes Bible says a minute since down. I'm just kidding first number 28, it came to pass when Jesus head into these things. The people were astonished at his doctor. That's not so astonishing to us today. Will you are there with them? She didn't stand up and just quote Rabbi so-and-so and Rabbi so-and-so in this person a person and then not really make any conclusions when he when he was finished. No, he said this is the word of God. I fulfilled every jot and Tittle throughout the Sermon on the Mount and what a sermon he finishes that sermon and by the time he's done people are going

jaw on the floor because this is different. This is not like any message that we've heard. What was the difference? He taught them as one having Authority and not as the scribes. He had a thority to say what he said why because he is the word. He's the Lord himself the Lord's in the building business. His foundations are strong, but also back in Isaiah. We see that his windows are beautiful. Windows are good that the windows that Isaiah was talking about in our text. You could also look them as battlements perhaps in a city in a fortification scenario battlements might be a good idea, but Windows, what do they do? What do you have Windows in your house while you have skylights in your roof? Why do you have these things? Yeah, they let light in or at night time when you got the lights on and you're staying up burning the candle at both ends. Alyssa light out people going by they can see if the windows are open. There's lights on a light LED LEDs light in and out both. The windows of the Lord are beautiful. And we are his foundation strong and we need to build on a firm foundation. But his windows are beautiful in a doctor Gill John Gill sees a figure in these windows as a bing messengers of the gospel and I appreciated his application there through the Light of Christ shines the lost and dying world. This is no surprise to those who study Prophecy in the Millennium or not in the Millennium. But in the tribulation, we're told that there will be a hundred and forty four thousand Jews Like The Apostle Paul. Do you think the light of the gospels going to make it around the world again? Oh, yeah, the lights going to shine through Israel through God's people. And in the Lord protects him and then Jesus said in guess where the Sermon on the Mount let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven. So the Lord's windows are beautiful known as he says in verse number 12 of Isaiah 54 and I will make my windows of a Gates and I Gates of carbuncles and all that Pleasant Stones Windows of the gates gates of carbuncles. See the gates of carbuncles is an entry at gate is is an entry and there's different kinds of gates in the scriptures. Of course Lots at in the gate of of Sodom and that was in a place of a civil Duty motekiai sat in the gates of Persia. That was a place of civil Duty.

It's the place of entrance and who's our place of entrance John chapter. Number 10. Jesus said I am the door by me if any internet see the thief comes over the wall and comes to steal kill and destroy but the gates are where we gain entrance but notice Isaiah says it's Gates of carbuncles. What's a cardinal anybody have the car bumper? Are you wearing a carbuncle today? I don't know. Anybody. We have any carbuncles in the building. No, well, I don't know what they are either. I've never perhaps seen a carbuncle. But if you if you have a dr. Morse's study Bible. Dr. Henry Morris Study Bible. He puts a note in there that says it's a it's a deep red gemstone. Deep red and I thought out of all the things you can make a note on why would he make a note on carbuncles being deep red and then it was like the Holy Spirit just slap me over the head and said hello. What color is the blood of Christ? the Crimson flow Jesus is the door. It's through his blood and it's through his propitiation his payment for our sin that we enter in and the windows, you know, the light shines and we get the gospel out and all those things and those wonderful pictures, but but the gate is through Jesus Christ who who set himself, he's the door who said he is the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto the father, but by me that's through Jesus. The Lord's foundations are strong is Windows or beautiful? And then also if the Lord's going to build us the Lord's walls are delightful in Isaiah 54 again verse number at 12. He says that the borders all that borders are a pleasant stones. At work pleasant as it can have the idea precious. We're going to read some scriptures and thinks you're about being precious, but the Pleasantness here. I don't want you to miss the the idea of when you do a study on that work Pleasant. It has to send too many translations airplane versus a delightful. So think of something that you Delight in what would you what would you describe as being just absolutely delightful that was delightful.

See, these are the borders the walls if you will of the Lord our delightful and we're told in 1st Peter.

Chapter 2 inverse number for about about us and who are who are built up in the ward were Lively Stones. He says to homecoming as unto a Livingstone. That's Jesus Christ disallowed indeed of man, but chosen of God and precious. He also who's that says Believers as Lively Stones living stones that you know that you're living. You're what built up that's what Peter says you take these stones and you build the walls the walls of the Lord are deliteful Isaiah said that see your delightful. We're holy priesthood. We offer spiritual sacrifice is acceptable to God by Jesus Christ wherefore also it is contained in scripture behold. I lay in Zion a Chief Cornerstone.

Jesus Christ elect precious and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. You see the connection with faith and the building in Revelation chapter 21 describes the walls of that City and this is eternal Jerusalem. Not not Millennial Jerusalem, but in verse 18 chapter 21 Revelation, he says the building of the wall of it was Jasper. The city was pure gold like under clear glass the foundations foundations 2 of the wall, the foundations of the wall of the sea were garnished with all manner of precious stones see the wall of the Lord as delightful as Foundation. Windows are beautiful and his walls are delightful. And he goes on to describe the First Foundation 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th 10th, 11th, 12, 12 12 foundations, 12 tribes of Israel 12, 12 curls Pearly Gates of one Pearl. That's a big oyster. One Pearl to get a gate for City out of the street and he was pure gold as it were transparent glass.

And what you bills last forever and it's beautiful beyond compare its build on a strong Foundation. It has light emanating from it as any good city will and the law is going to be the light of Jerusalem one day and the the city's going to be set on a hill. It's not going to be able to be hit at that point because there's no need for the sun anymore. John tells us the lamb is the light Lorde edifies. But secondly the Lord illuminates we continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and Isaiah 54. Let's look at the Lord's illumination. The Divine Eliminator is the Holy Spirit. We know that for many passengers. I'll share some of those with you. But verse number 13 of Isaiah 54 reads this all the children shall be. What's thanks praise the Lord Jesus quoted this verse himself and John chapter 6, but I want to I want to talk to you about the comforter about the Holy Spirit. Remember you said that Israel was afflicted. They were tossed with a tempest that they were not comforted that Jesus said he would send a comforter and the comforter in John Chapter 14 verse 26 in the scriptures. Who is this comforter with a Capital C. He is the Holy Ghost will send in my name he shall what? I'll let you in because the Lord so let me tell you how this breaks down in 1st Corinthians chapter 2 verse 10. Paul said God has revealed them on to us by who spirit I got a screen for you. So you can keep up with me. You don't have to turn all these passages. It's not their God has revealed them to us by his spirit that died on me, huh? Okay, just gave up the ghost to make throw something at me. But that was four. So God has revealed them unto us by his spirit and I had that off the whole time.

You're right. You're right. So God had revealed it unto us by Spirit. You can go watch him later on if it all works like it's supposed to for the spirit searches all things gay the Deep things of God unction from the Holy One. This is the first John chapter 2 verse 20. So who gives us is unction. It's the holy spirit of God and we know all things in that same chapter and verse 27. He says the Obamas in you and you need not that any man teach you all things and that and is truth. It is no lie. Even if it has taught you as it has taught you so shall ye abide in him? So happens this way Isaiah says that

Jesus said I'm sending another comforter and when he comes it's the Holy Ghost. He shall teach you all things.

I thought you said we meet our Lord Warriors that breaks down. It's really easy. It's not too difficult to grasp. Is it Jesus sends? And he says that another comforter you have to connect the word another with that because it's another of the same time just like Jesus is Holy Spirit. It's God. It's so when it says you shall be taught of the Lord. We're also told that the spirit whatever the spirit would teach would not be of his own accord. He would teach those things only those things that were given to him by Jesus in Jesus of courses the word of God and he's on a mission from the father. So long story short too late. The Holy Spirit part of the holy spirit is this exact same thing as being taught of Jesus because we believe Jesus is Jehovah. Capital L capital O capital r capital D is Jehovah Jehovah will be taught of the holy spirit. It's the same thing. I just beat that dead horse so that you can see the direct fulfillment. There's no way around this. This is as clear as day. But exactly what I say instead would happen is happening right now and Jay will continue to happen on through. I mean think about it when we can go and sit down at the feet of Jesus himself and we can ask him all of our deep theological questions and he'll laugh at us a go. I'm just doesn't like there's no dumb questions you got but he'll take the time lovingly. I'm sure to bring us under under his wing and teach us in the way that is, you know, if it really matters that much to spare that point. I don't know that it will have a million questions that I want to ask but I don't know how important will be maybe after. I've been there a million years but here for each question. I have no then then I might get around to asking the Lord who's the Divine Eliminator. It's none other than the Holy Spirit who are those that are divinely illuminated they are believe your son to all generations. We see this inverse number 13 He says all the children shall be taught of the Lord great. Peace have they And great shall be the Peace of that children, excuse me. And so who are those that will receive this instruction of kind of hard to explain that to you, but he says all by children. Twice and that verse he says by children.

And I want you to look at Acts chapter number two and verse 39 and see how Peter saw this verse. He says the promise is unto who you and Cora he's proved preaching to choose Lisa Peters preaching to choose at Pentecost. He's telling them how to be saved in in just a moment and Acts chapter 2 3000 Jews are going to turn their heart to Jesus Christ who makes that's the context of what we're looking at when we look at acts 2:39 and Peter day this application you said for the promise is unto who you to choose it or listen to him right there that day your children who are their children will the next preview? No following generations, and I thank God because that includes me and if you're not of the stock in front of Israel, Even as many as the Lord Our God show called let me give you some wonderful verses on the peace of God because this is what happens when the Holy Spirit illuminates us and we finally get all the dots connected Isaiah said that will keep him in what perfect peace whose mind is stayed on the you getting this book and it just erases all fears and the Holy Spirit shows you things that you would otherwise not see Psalm 119 verse 165. The psalmist said Greg Pease the piece that God gives you is great friend in this is the same attribution that uses great shall be the Peace of thy children. Of all that, you know the song I said great peace have they which love that law and nothing shall offend them? All right. Let's bridge the gap to the New Testament. Jesus said in John 14:27. Peace. I leave with you my peace. I give unto you not as the world giveth give I unto you let not your heart be troubled. Neither Let It Be Afraid you see this is peace. That is like no other thing you can get in in the world. This is peace that comes from Jesus himself as you get in his book and you become illuminated by the light and you grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. He goes on in 1633 to say these things have I spoken unto you that in me, you might have peace you see might is is not shall it's different. This is not a guarantee. Peace. You're not going to get it unless you're in him unless you're being eliminated but it is accessible you can have this piece and it is a No surprises there.

See this thought of Hope in Jesus Christ in the faith we have in him. Easter a heart in Romans chapter 1 were told about the peace of God the peace that we have with God therefore being justified by faith. We have peace with God. He's not upset at us anymore. He's not pouring grass out on our sins because he put all that on Jesus Christ. This piece comes through our Lord Jesus Christ and another good verse to commit to memory if you have it as Romans 15:13 now the god of Hope That's the hope. I'm hanging on to that blessed. Hope fill you with all joy, and peace in believing you see this piece comes by faith and faith alone. I can't explain it to you, but you just have to believe it and if you've tasted that piece than you know exactly what I'm talking about if you haven't then I encourage you. Spend some time in this book with the Holy Spirit gets saved if you're not saved and let the Holy Spirit take you is there anyone in here that you've read the Bible before you sat down with it? And there was just something that the Holy Spirit just gripped you with and you could let it go and and it was just this revolutionary thought that the lord gave you it has that happen to anyone else.

Oh, that's just your rational reasoning mind that found that tricked. I don't think so. These are the Deep things of God that the spirit searches. See the fruit of the spirit Paul tells us is is love joy and peace is tranquility. She's that calmness Philippians 4:7 another good verse and the peace of God, which passes all understanding. It's not something that I can explain to you. That's not something that I fully understand myself, but it's there. It keeps our heart and our mind through Jesus Christ. So the Lord's elimination who is The Eliminator? Is the one that likes us after we're build on the foundation. It's the holy spirit of God. And those who are illuminated are believers unto every generation in this is this will never be exhausted the light never run out. It will always be available. His lamp is always full of oil a man and you can come and find what you need. What's the message? Well, the message is that makes us wise unto salvation in in chapter 54 verse Isaiah invers number 13 and talks about the peace and inverse number 14. He says that in righteousness shall be established and in the righteousness that we have for Jesus Christ. That's how we're firmly rooted and grounded. He says you'll be far from oppression Thou shalt not fear from Terror for shall not come nigh thee shall not come near thee. Call knew about this power of the Gospel the words wise unto salvation in Romans chapter 1 he says so as much as in me is I am ready to preach the good news the gospel to you that our room. Also, I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto what salvation the good news is the good news that we discovered in Isaiah 53, by the way, and we're studying Isaiah 54 the good news of Salvation to everyone that believe it to the Jew first and also to the Greek for there and we're in the good news in the gospel unto salvation and side that good news. The righteousness of God is revealed Revelation is exposed and it's out in Plainview for everyone to see this is the righteousness that they are going to be a stablished in and we go from Faith to Faith as it is written the just shall live by faith when Peter was recounting his in his time with Cornelius Cornelius got saved in Acts chapter 11 verse number 14 Peter told those that were that were interviewing him for lack of better terms. He was telling the story in Cornelius was told in a vision that Peter would have something to give him if he would call for Peter. In what Peter would give him when he came is exactly what we're seeing verse number 14 of Acts 11 who shall tell the words whereby thou and all that house shall be what? Words, that'll make you wise unto salvation. That's the message. That's where it all begins. That's where the light begins to shine her heart and their life you see were built on a foundation. We are at a five-year built and then we are illuminated by God. Then let's look at a city. I mean, let's say that you and I are going to go out. We're going to build a city. Okay, and we build it.

it becomes but

and then on the other side of wherever. There's somebody over there that everything like us very much and they don't like our city and they know that we have a bunch of stuff that they want. And so they're going to come and try to take

What good is it if we're built and if we're illuminated if we don't have fortification? See this is part of the blueprints of the Lord's building the Lord fortifies and he goes on to say no power against his people shall Prevail. I'm wrapping this up. I'm winding it down. No power shall Prevail behold. They shall surely gather together, but watch it's not buy me. This is not a dolor now God raises up people like Nebuchadnezzar and a series of Nations when he wants to chasten. She God sends his wrath to chasten us to get us back into a right relationship with him right on the same page with God is Not sended simply to just destroy it and I like knowing is always about restoration. He's always about reconciliation. Who says behold I have created the Smith that bloweth the coals in the fire. You know what the Smith does who makes swords. He makes weapons of warfare and bring it forth an instrument for his work. And I have created God says the waster to destroy but James tells us that the wrath of man is different from the wrath of God. The wrath of God always comes to get us back in the right relationship with him to purge Shannon and it has a purpose to it the wrath of man on the other hand James tells us it work is not the righteousness of God to get away from this apart all filthiness superfluity of naughtiness receive with meekness what the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls see the psalmist said in Psalm 37 the wicked plot against the just and Nash of the pain him with his teeth. The Lord shall laugh at him. Did you know God has a sense of humor free sees that his day is coming. She's not over yet and God's not finished. And those that would that would hate us for certain guys are going to rise up against us, but hey, you don't need to worry about them God's going to handle. It is fornicate fortification means that no power against his people shall Prevail. Jesus said that he would build his church when he was talking with Simon Peter. He said that the Gates of Hell shall not Prevail all the forces the devil can throw it. You will not will not stop what God wants to do in building you up and fortifying you he's going to build you on the foundation of Jesus Christ. If you let him he's going to eliminate you with the word of God if you'll stay in the book and then he's going to protect you roundabout on every side from all your enemies. You need not fear. You can stay in perfect. Peace continue to serve him. No power will prevail no weapon formed against his people shall prosper. No weapon that's formed in verse number 17 of Isaiah through the righteousness. That is in Jesus Christ. You see he says in this verse that righteousness their righteousness. Israel's righteousness is of me saith the Lord. I want to talk with you a little bit about the weapons that the devil brings against us Paul listed some of them and Romans chapter number 8 and verse 35 through 39. Yes this question who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Notice he's talking about these things. Like they're people not things. He's personifying tribulation. He's profant personifying two strategies personifying persecution. Who? See that's personal. These are the enemies. These are the weapons that the devil throws at us and they shall not Prosper against us shall tribulation separate us. No stress no persecution. No salmon, you ever been really hungry ever been famished. O hunger will do some mean things to a physical body and to your mental state will salmon and in the depravity of of having physical substance. Will that separate us? No nakedness in the cold mountains of Colorado in the winter time. What's no way to keep warm? Will that separate us? No? parallel universe like driving up Pikes Peak

I don't know. That's what they tell me sword as is written for that sake we are killed all the day long. We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Who was our sheep before her shoes is done Isaiah 53. Yes, the Lord Jesus Christ and all these things we are more than conquerors. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I am persuaded. I think Paul was established. Don't you? I think he was in movable always abounding in the work of the Lord Brian persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height nor if I forgot anything nor any other creature Shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ. Jesus our lord no power shall Prevail against his people no weapon shall prosper when it's formed against his people. This is the heritage of the Lord's servants. Is this play out in scripture? No weapon formed prospering condemning those that rise up in judgment. Does anyone have this Heritage? Oh, yeah, there's a song that we could think of in the scripture Daniel chapter three the three Hebrew children that were thrown into the fiery furnace. Nebuchadnezzar comes near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and he spanked instead of the most high God come forth and come hither. I'm getting out of here. This is a little too much for me. But this is a man that's filled with pride and he comes to the map that I don't think they wanted to stay in there. But any person that can live and go through the fire and come out not even smelling like smoke not even a hair of their heads since I think I don't think I would be going, I just don't think that would be how I would respond but Nebuchadnezzar's different. He's just one of those guys that has the grass before the Lord humble notice. He says then Shadrach Meshach and Abednego came forth out of the midst of the fire. This is the heritage of who noticed was Nebuchadnezzar Shadrach Meshach in a Bendigo ye Servants of Most high God, you know, Daniel himself experienced this when he was thrown to the Lions and chapter 6 of Daniel verse number 20 when you came to the Dan he cried with a lamentable voice. This is the voice on the Daniel the king state Senator Daniel O'Daniel. servant of the Living God is that Gardendale serviced continually able to deliver thee from the Lions? Was God Abel? Ohyeah Hebrews tells us a the time fills me this morning. I just I don't have run out of time. I can't tell you about all the things in the scriptures with Ford and Hebrews chapter 11 these people look for a sit and maker is God.

Here's the kicker.

Were they forsaken? Ono remember because this world is not my home. I'm just passing through my treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue Abraham was a man who was looking for a city. Whose Builder and maker is God. Is windows are beautiful is foundations are strong. As walls are delightful reading in chapter 12 wherefore seeing we also are compassed about the so great cloud of witnesses. All these people that have gone before us in faith. Let us lay aside every weight and the sin which does so easily beset us. Let it run with patience the race that is set before us looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of what our faith that's how we obtained it who for the joy that was set before him and Georgia cross despising the shame and set down at the right hand of the Throne of God. When the Lord builds you up your life will be built on a solid foundation. You'll have the light of his holy word shining through the windows of your soul your heart and your mind will be surrounded by the Lord's Beauty with those walls when we share God's word, but we will have a part in taking the light of the word of God that makes someone wise unto salvation unto the ends of the Earth that they can have the same blessings that you experience on a daily basis, but it will never come between you and your lord and as you march forward until you reach the Blessed hope looking for that Cee use Builder and maker is

Wait up for you in Christ. Jesus that which we rode by sin Jesus establishes in his righteousness and Victory Is Ours through faith in him.
