Introduction

Moses didn’t trust God even while having such a close relationship with God.
Moses took credit for the miracle instead of attributing it to God. This was a strike against God’s holiness. God takes serious His holiness.
Moses received punishment for his actions. Sin has repercussions.
However, Moses didn’t complain about the punishment. Instead, he continued to faithfully lead the people and honor God.
Yes, God is Holy, but He is also compassionate. In Deuteronomy 34:4-5 he invited Moses up to Mount Nebo where He was shown the Promised Land before he died.
Moses’ failure at the rock didn’t negate or break his relationship with God. God continued to use the prophet and continued to love him with tenderness.
When you sin against God and act in rebellion, God doesn’t break his relationship with you. He desires reconciliation. So much so that He paid for it on the cross with His blood.
Return to God. Know you’re forgiven. Keep moving forward.
