IV. Jesus speaks to the crowd outside the Pharisee's house. vs. 25-35
Here are the FACTORS surrounding the incident Jesus used showing truth trumping theory (opinions):

I. The Moment. v.1

And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.
Pharisees are critical.
Pharisees are corrupt.
Pharisees are condemning.
Pharisees are complainers.

II. The Man. v.2

And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.
Religion could not heal this man.
Humanism could not heal this man.
Sorcery could not heal this man.

III. The Mystery. vs.3-6

His question. v.3
And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?
Their reaction. v.4
And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;
Why would they not answer? One verse would shut Him up.
They could not answer because they knew He was right!
His application. v.5
And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?
Their complication. v.6
And they could not answer him again to these things.
They brake fellowship with whom they cannot control.
They brake fellowship with whom they cannot convince.
Conclusion:
Do you hold to your opinions before you go to the Bible?
Your beliefs are slanted and corrupted.
