Inside and Outside

Outside: Not just your body

Speech (both what you say and HOW you say it)
Expressions
Gestures
Choices
Actions

Inside: The why to your what

Thoughts
Emotions
Intentions / motivations
Matthew 12:34 “You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”
Matthew 5:27–28 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
To attempt to do right and fail is not to be a hypocrite.
To clean only the outside while the inside is corrupt whether to hide it, or because you think it will make up for the inside is to be a hypocrite

Tombs & Uncleanness

Numbers 19:16 “Whoever in the open field touches someone who was killed with a sword or who died naturally, or touches a human bone or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.”
Luke 11:44 “Woe to you! For you are like unmarked graves, and people walk over them without knowing it.””
James 2:18 “But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”
The Floor Is Lava!
Don’t run in the house
It’s ok to begrudgingly not run in the house
It’s ok to both faithfully whitewash a tomb, and to note its ironic beauty

Thanksgiving

There is no one else who can clean up the inside
That He HAS saved you
That He WILL save you
Thanksgiving is an American Holiday. It is an appropriate one. Christians, as beneficiaries of saving grace, ought to be the most thankful people of all.
