The Infusion of the Gospel Code
Col. 1:9-11

The title of this message seems to grab at the sensational or even to create an interest based upon current fads or movies.
But I can assure you it is far from sensational and revealing to the truth of this passage.
It is common for evangelical Christians to think of salvation as the starting point in a race towards holiness; where we the participants run with our own might striving toward perfection.
God has given us the means and the equipment to run and so now let’s get going!
However, the truth of the gospel goes farther than equipping!
Yes the gospel means good news, but that good news goes beyond the narrative of what Christ has done, but extends to what I call the “infusion of the gospel code” which is a spiritual empowering and direction for the believer by the Holy Spirit.
I.
TO FILL WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD’S WILL.
And, to do it with wisdom and understanding.
(See verse list)

II.
TO WALK WORTHY UNTO ALL PLEASING.
III.
TO BE FRUITFUL UNTO EVERY GOOD WORK.
IV.
TO BE EVER INCREASING IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD.
V.
TO STRENGTHEN WITH MIGHT.
