Welcome

psalm 19. worship our Lord through scripture
We are now going to continue our time of worship through songs followed by communion.
We have intentionally chosen to not have the song words in hand. I want to encourage you this morning to respond to the praise we are singing about by setting yourself up the best way to hear it. May that is just listening sitting where you are or on one of the park benches, maybe that is with a coffee in hand, maybe that is joining the kids, and of course feel free to sing if you know the words.
The band will lead us in 4 songs and then we will share in communion.

Communion

Communion is a time of gathering for a meal with Jesus. Like this picnic, we are having today.
As they ate and drank he invited them to remember him. They didn’t know what Jesus would have to do to make what we just sang about possible.
Can I encourage you if you have made a decision to follow Jesus and believe he died for you and you are adopted into God’s family to partake with us with these symbols. If you are still on a journey to believe such a thing you are still welcome here and can I ask you to reflect on what these symbols mean.
The bread the body, needs to be sustained, Jesus promises to sustain us. and encourages us to use our bodies and resources for God’s kingdom.
Psalm 19:12–14 NIV
But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression. May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Are there any errors or hidden faults in the way of you being blameless before God today? As you eat the bread lay them down.
The drink, the cup, is symbol of blood, life and covenant.
I speak Jesus
Over every heart and every mind, I know there is peace within Your presence
Til' every dark addiction starts to break, Declaring there is hope and there is freedom.
Over fear and all anxiety, To every soul held captive by depression.
Jesus name is power Jesus name is healing Jesus name is life It breaks every stronghold Shine through the shadows Burn like a fire
