“Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord, and called it Jehovahshalom:
unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abi-ezrites.
And it came to pass the same night, that the Lord said unto him, Take thy
father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and
throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the
grove that is by it:
And build an altar unto the Lord thy God upon the top of this rock, in
the ordered place, and take take the second bullock, and offer a burnt
sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.
Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the Lord had said
unto him: and so it was, because he feared his father's household, and
the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night.
And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, Behold, the
altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it,
and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built.
And they one to another, Who hath done this thing?
And when they
inquired and asked, they said, Gideon the son of Joash hath done this
thing.
Then the men of the city said unto Joash, Bring out thy son, that he
may die: because he hath cast down the altar of Baal, and because he
hath cut down the grove that was by it.
And Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal?
Will ye save him?
He that will plead for him, let him be put to death
whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself, because
one hath cast down his altar.
Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead
against him, because he hath thrown down his altar,”
Judges 6:24-32 KJV 1611
So lets look at that great man of God, Gideon.
How I pray each day for men
with even half the back bone of Gideon.
Alas, still we seem to be lacking men,
especially those behind the Pulpits are the biggest cowards of all.
Gideon, despite all his people against him, he did what God asked of him,
and cast down that altar of the false god Baal.
He threw it all down, and
despite his own fears he chose God.
Despite facing death the man did what
God told him to do.
How many of us would do that?
Right now we are not facing that kind of choice, at least not yet.
Let's get into the message I am going to talk about altars.
Lets start with at Church, now as practicing Catholics will tell you, upon
approaching the front of the Church, they bow themselves down facing the
altar.
Bowing themselves to a graven image before them.
Just so we are clear on this
Turn to Exodus 20:4,5
“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of
anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that
is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them,
nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the
iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and forth
generation of them that hate me.”
Exodus 20:4,5
Note to Catholics, A priest cannot absolve you of your sins.
Neither can
your Pope as both your Pope and your Priest are men of sin, as we are all
born into this condition, with only the blood of Jesus which can make us
whole again.
By coming into Church and sprinkling last weeks tap water unto your
head and bowing down to that graven image, remember your automatically
breaking the second Commandment listed in Exodus 20
For all the Statues around with Candles and collections and previous Jesuits.
Where is the message of God?
Where is the gospel message?
Most Catholics I have met are not even aware what Baptism is, they think
its pouring a wee bit of water on a babies head.
Yet they wear all the
parifanlia.
Say the rosary and what ever else.
Oh I can hear all the A-Men's from all you Baptist's and Judah-Christian
heretics.
However you are as bad, your no different at all!
At the end of each service your Minister of Satan asks if anyone feels the
spirit.
*spirit with a small “s” as you are worshiping a different god and have
received a different spirit* your spirit is the love of lies, see
2nd Thessalonians 2:10-12
“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;
because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should
believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believe not the truth
but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
2nd Thessalonians 2:10-12
At the end of your Preachers message typically you are asked to come to front
and “get right and do some business with God.”
This involves coming down to
the front and yes that's right, bowing down at the alter and praying, all the
while Paster Judas is there looking down, you never see him bow down.
So whats the difference in what the Catholics do and what these Evangelicals
are doing, confessing your sins on your knees at the Altar in front of the Paster,
or in the cupboard with the Priest.
You see I could go on and on.
I myself am a
former Baptist, I left because what they were saying just didn't line up with
Scripture.
I saw a likeness with the Catholic Church that was very similar,
