John 14:15–17 ESV
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.
If you love me - If in the original text which is greek means Whenever perhaps
You - responsibility is on yo, not your grammy, momma, Papa Daady. You love me. rensponsi
bility to obey the commands of our Father ests solely on our ability to love him not What anyone else has done. The world has a saying its who you know with God our ability to obey his commands rest solely on our ability to love him. Som ebeliefs promote the work of the ancestors in our lives as a connection to ability to succeed. Wh
ile scripture highlights the extended relational honor our Father gives to those who obey Him that honor does not cover the weight of our personal responsibility in obeying our Father’s commands.
Love me:
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 if you give these qualities to me. If these qualitites are your focus in interacting with me. the World has trained us to see love as this fickle emotioanl response. Its almost as if we confuse affection and love. the love we are accusotmed to is selfish. It is rooted in flesh with a desire to please itself. it does the oposite of all the characteristics described in 1 Corinthinas 13;4 - 7
