Being Yourself while allowing Mentor’s in your life to influence you
Prepare ahead of time three talking points or questions
^Teachable spirit
I hate “I know”
College students can’t be told anything. This I think is the clearest indicator to whether or not they will be faithful in the long run.
^Humility of Position
I know what I believe do I know why. Do I know why well enough to pass it on.
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
^Love of our Heritage
If we can start looking past those that we follow we will see when our mentors are also pulling away from our position.
^A desire to impress Dorrell and Hardy
When my wife reminded me that we have the capacity to accomplish all that they have accomplished dont’ impress them join them.
^Gratitude for the guy that ran out of bounds
Maybe: deal with Lancaster baptist church...
Tries a lot of things that are inside the bounds but are different than many others.
Why is it important to allow yourself to be influenced by mentors? How can you “do your own thing” without dishonoring those who invested How do we invest in the younger without applying pressure to them to be like us? Ending thought lead into the Unleashed Baptist doing great things for God. Run to Jesus and life Him up!!!

How to handle Pastor appreciation month
We are very blessed here at South Knollwood
But I have pointed out that the appreciation that I am thankful for is that
I never do ministry alone
I never wonder if the church is on board with the biblical things.
