Sunday PM                                                                                                 February 4, 2007

I Chronicles 4:9-10

How many of you have read */“The Prayer of Jabez”?/*
It is just one very little prayer.
But God answered.
Bruce Wilkinson, the author says,
*/“To bless in the biblical sense means to ask for or to impart supernatural favor.
When we ask for God’s blessing, we are not asking for more of what we could get for ourselves.
We are crying out for the wonderful, unlimited goodness that only God has the power to know about or give to us.”/*

Turn to */Proverbs 10:22/* read (page 906)
The Amplified Bible puts it this way,
*/“The blessing of the Lord, it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it  /*
*/  [neither does toiling increase it].”/*
When we ask for a blessing from God,
          He gives it to us.
He does not make it a sorrowful thing.
We can not do anything more to increase it.
We can not work harder for it.
We can not pay more for it.
God gives us a blessing because we ask for it.
And because He loves us more than we can imagine.
We need to remember that it has to be His Will.
And we need to be living according to His Word.
Go back to */I Chronicles 4:9-10/*, let’s repeat */“The Prayer of Jabez”/*
*/ /*
Now when He expands our */“Boarder”/*

We need to be prepared to TAKE it.
We need to be prepared to KEEP it.
/Closing Prayer/
