Jesus Helps us in our Helplessness

Helplessness due to many reasons:

1. No one cares to help (vv.3-5)

2. Burdened by others (vv.9-10)

3. Helplessness due to our own sinful doings (vv.14)

Grace of God / Gospel:

Jesus helps us even if we are unworthy

Jesus gives 2nd chance when others don’t

Jesus understands our helplessness - He came in to this world and he experienced how it is to be helpless (carrying the cross to calvary, he did not retaliate).

Jesus offers us healing from our brokenness - He is our rest (Sabbath)!

Prosper Response:

Just like the man that was ill for 38 years, he can’t heal himself. He needs a powerful savior. He responded to Jesus by believing that he can heal him.

God is urging you to pick up your mat, move from where you are right now and take a step towards Jesus!
