Hello and welcome to the FIRST episode of the studentlife podcast. I’m your host, Joe Farage and I’m so excited to be kicking off this podcast with the one and only Pastor Jordan Bennett. Jordan is the Student Pastor at Life Church Buffalo, which hosts StudentLife youth ministry. Whether this is your first time hearing about us, or you’ve been with us for years, our goal is to help you know and follow Jesus, step by step. Starting next week, this podcast is going to be taking a detailed look at topics covered in StudentLife and how we can live them out, but I wanted to start off with hearing from Pastor Jordan about the heart of studentlife and why we do what we do.

As you heard from Pastor Jordan, Studentlife aims to be a place where any high school and middle school students can have fun and feel safe to learn about Jesus at their level. That means that whether you’ve never heard of Jesus, or you’ve been going to church for a while, you can bring your questions, doubts, struggles, and have an opportunity to talk about them with people who love and care about you. We have an amazing group of leaders at StudentLife and we would love to connect with you on a Sunday morning or Wednesday night.

This Wednesday we’re kicking off a new series, where we’ll look at some of the tough questions that we all have about Jesus, Faith, and Church. This week, Pastor Jordan is talking about the question “Why does God let bad things happen?”. I don’t like talking in absolutes, but I feel pretty safe in saying that this question is something that everyone has asked before.

I’m really looking forward to this series because digging into tough topics means we get past the surface-level and focus on what we actually believe and where we put our trust.

So join us for that message this Wednesday night, then check out the podcast on Monday for a deep dive into that message!

As a reminder for anyone who comes to Life Church Buffalo on Sundays, this Sunday Sept 10, we’re switching to 3 services. 8am, 9:30am, and 11:15am.
