The Will of God

Why worry? Many out there are so sure they are going to heaven! Some country stars sing songs about what they are going to do when they make it to heaven one day then in the same year sing drinking songs about sinful things making them sound fun! Why worry?

Matthew 7:13-23 (KJV 1900)

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

1.  Enter at the strait gate!

a.       Enter or travel only one way! Jesus said “I am the way the truth and the Life”

b.      Straight is the direction narrow is the path we can’t make detours on our way!

Luke 13:24-25 (KJV 1900)

24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. 25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

c.       Be careful of what you listen to Verse 15 “beware of false prophets”

2.  Know people by the fruits they bear!

a.      Don’t judge others simply know them and from that decide whether to listen to them by their fruits

b.      Ask yourself this “Have I been living in God’s will and do I show the right fruits for someone to listen to me?”

c.       Know this Judgment time is coming soon “Am I ready?”

3.   If Jesus came today would you be ready to go?

a.      Not everyone that says “Lord Lord” will make it!

b.      Only the one who does the will of God!

c.       What is God’s will?

Mark 11:24-26 (KJV 1900)

24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

1 Thessalonians 4:3 (KJV 1900)

3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV 1900)

18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Peter 2:15 (KJV 1900)

15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

(James 4:8 (KJV 1900)

8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
