Exodus 37-38; God’s House

Sermon in a sentence: God is creating a home where his people can live with him.

God’s House Is Holy (37:1-38:8)

All of the items were overlaid or covered in gold and precious metal.
God commanded that all of the furniture and instruments were to be covered.
God requires all people that worship him must be covered in holiness as well.

God’s House Is For His People (vs. 9-20)

God creates a place for his people to have communion with him.
There is something special about sharing a meal together.

Building God’s House Is Costly (vs. 21-31)

The people willingly gave all these treasures to create a new dwelling place for God.
God sent his own son to pay for the creation of a new temple, his people.
