Christians are to be prayerfully busy in the work God has given us.

Be Prayerful

God, in His infinite wisdom, has seen fit to involve us in His Work through prayer. John 16:23-24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”
Pray for spiritual leaders.
Amazingly, the Apostle Paul was requesting prayer from new believers. We all need prayer!
Pray for the spread of the God’s Word.
Pray for protection from the evil one.
Pray for the growth of believers. - in the love of God and patience of Christ.

Be Productive

Paul gives a warning to those able-bodied believers that were not walking “orderly” but were taking advantage of other’s generosity. This was not directed toward those who had genuine need, but rather those who were lazy and refused to labor.
The Christian is called to be diligent in the field that God has placed him.
Work has become a four-letter word. Some count work as part of the curse, yet the Lord gave work to Adam and Eve in the garden before the Fall.
Colossians 3:22–24 (ESV)
Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
The ability of each person is different, and our God-given roles may change with age. Still, as long as we are able we are called do our labor as unto the Lord.
Paul warned that those who refused to work were to be shunned, because they were not walking in obedience to the Lord. The goal was to admonish and correct!
To the work! to the work! we are servants of God, Let us follow the path that our Master has trod; With the balm of His counsel our strength to renew, Let us do with our might what our hands find to do. Toiling on, toiling on, Toiling on, toiling on: Let us hope, let us watch, And labor till the Master comes.
To the work! to the work! there is labor for all; For the kingdom of darkness and error shall fall; And the name of Jehovah exalted shall be, In the loud-swelling chorus, "Salvation is free!"

Be at Peace

When we walk in accordance with God’s will we will have inner peace in life.
He is with us!
