Jesus dies on the cross and rose again to bring about a full redemption of all creation

Hardness of Heart (9-14)

This hardness stems from a narrow view of what God is doing and plans to do for his people
Rejection of God’s plan of redemption
Just as Pharaoh refused to let Israel go and placed himself between God and God’s plan
Pharaoh was willing to give partial redemption
“Go and sacrifice and come back”
“Leave all your possessions and children and go do your little thing and come back”
God was bringing about complete redemption
Complete freedom from slavery
Complete spoiling of Egypt
Complete destruction of the enemies
Rejection of God’s wonders and works
2 Kings 17:12-16 Israel’s forgetfulness of God’s works in their history. Just as their fathers did in the wilderness
Nehemiah 9:7-17 Rebelled against God’s work
Mark 6:52 considered not the miracle of loaves
“Hardness of Heart” Rejection of God’s will leads creation into darkness and destruction. “Faith” or a following of God’s will and plan (Even in darkness) will lead men into light and redemption. (Romans 8:18-25)

Faith of Followers (15-20)

This faith brings about a complete redemption and a perfect persuasion that he is able to bring about this redemption (He that believeth shall be saved)
People of Redemption (all creatures)
That God came to save all people and redeem all creation back to himself
Go into all the world
Jew, Gentile, Pharisee, Sinner
Baptizing them in the name of Jesus as the Savior of their life (washing away of the old and being raised in newness of life)
Signs of Redemption
Complete defeat of our enemies, Satan and his armies (the fall in the garden)
Complete reversal of the dispersed peoples (the fall at Babel)
Complete reversal of the curse of sin (the curse of the law)
They went forth confirming the signs of the gospel
Redemption has come in the name of Jesus
Time of Redemption
Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God
Psalms 110 God is bringing it about now through the work of His Holy Spirit in the lives of his faithful followers and the Church of His Son Jesus Christ
Colossians 1:21-29 Paul’s Theology on complete redemption of all creatures
Once alienated and enemies in our mind (hardened hearts)
Ressurection to bring about complete redemption (holy and blameless)
Unmoveable faith in the gospel which is preached to all creatures
Dispensation- time of redemption
Preach to all even gentiles
preach, warning every man, teaching every man, present every man
Let us be like Paul and labor , strive and work in the plan of God to redeem all creation to himself. His resurrection proves his power to do this work.
Don’t have a hard heart but be full of faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ our Lord!
