People used to say, "The United States are..." It wasn't until after the Civil War that you started to hear, "The United States is..." Under Lincoln we became one nation. And he paid for it with his life.

This conversation describes the Church wonderfully. We usually hear "The churches are..." Sometimes you hear "The Church is..." as if we are one entity. Is this a goal worth giving your life for? ----
