You are created in the image of God. This is an easy truth that we often forget.
Some of my favorite moments with my family happen when i remind myself of simple truths. Its not at the ocean, on vacation, at disney world, on their birthday. It is often on Saturday mornings when we are wrestling in bed, watching cartoons, rolling over a sleeping mama, spilling milk on the sheets from the night before that I remember “Wow I get to be there dad.”
I feel like so many of us get caught up in so many other things that we forget the simple truth that we are made in God’s image.
This truth is great but it is only great if we let it effect our lives. How does being made in God’s image effect your life?
I was doing my quiet time on Tuesday and I just started writting things that I often find my identity in. You know what everyone of them had in common? At some point they had been the very thing that caused me the most stress, the most frustration, the most exhaustion.
You see everything I attempt to find my identity in changes and shifts and when it does, I am no longer stable. But what if God? What if I find my whole identity in him? What if I got all of my value and worth in the fact that God created me. He is my maker.
