1. Jehovah Rohi - The Lord My Shepherd

Verse 1: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. See also John 10:3-4

The Shepherd knows us. He wants to meet all our needs. We can know Him personally.

2. Jehovah Shalom - The Lord My Peace      

Verse 2: He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.    See also John 10:9: & Matthew 6:31-33:

 

The Shepherd gives us peace by providing for all our needs. spiritual, physical, emotional

 

3. Jehovah Ropheka - The Lord My Healer       

Verse 3a: He restores my soul; See 1 Peter 2:25:, Isaiah 53:6 & John 10:11:

 

The Shepherd saves our soul. Our greatest need is spiritual, ie to be restored to God.

 

4. Jehovah Tsidkenu - The Lord My Righteousness

 

Verse 3b: He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. John 10:3-4

 

The Shepherd leads us on the right pathway. Without Him we would go astray again.

 

5. Jehovah Shammah - The Lord My Companion      

Verse 4: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. See John 10:27-28:

 

The Shepherd is our constant companion in life and through death into eternity.

 

6. Jehovah Nissi - The Lord My Victory

 

Verse 5: You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. See John 10:9: & 1 Peter 5:8:

 

The Shepherd gives us victory over Satan who seeks to kill us. Cares for us on the way.

 

7. Jehovah Jireh - The Lord My Provider      

Verse 6: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. See Psalm 27:4:

 

The Good Shepherd provides for us all of our lives and into eternity. Amen.
