Exodus 32: Worship Is War

This false worship damaged their view of God.

This false worship damaged the blessing God had given them (the Egyptian gold).

We see the death caused by false worship

The Israelites kill 3,000 people as an act of consecration and worship to God (vs. 27-29)

Moses is willing to die for his people as an act of sacrifice or worship to atone for their sins. (v. 32)
