Why Rebuild?

the altar is the place that we get to meet with God. We meet with God at the altar because there are may problems that we face in this life. Financial problems, Emotional problems; physical problems; social problems; and we certainly can’t leave out our spiritual problems. The Altar is a place of prayer. We have the fellowship of Jesus at the altar we are in His presense and in God presense there is fulness of Joy. With all of the ills that we see in society it is very evident that the altars of God are broken down; this is to delight of the enemy of souls the devil. The devil takes pleasure in the broken down altars in the homes. The devil knows all too well that broken down altars creates division in the home; it cause misery in home so we go to work confused and angry children go to school not caring the least about there school mates salvation. Ellen White wrote, “Our work for Christ is to begin with the family, in the home.… There is no missionary field more important than this. By precept and example parents are to teach their children to labor for the unconverted. The children should be so educated that they will sympathize with the aged and afflicted, and will seek to alleviate the sufferings of the poor and distressed (they can be taught these things at the family Altar). They should be taught to be diligent in missionary work; and from their earliest years, self-denial and sacrifice for the good of others and the advancement of Christ’s cause should be inculcated, that they may be laborers together with God. But if they ever learn to do genuine missionary work for others, they must first learn to labor for those at home, who have a natural right to their offices of love.”—Testimonies for the Church 6:429 Ellen Gould White, Instruction for Effective Christian Service (Review and Herald Publishing Association, 1925), 206–207.
I wonder if the Corinthian families had broken down Altars, because they had some real issues similar to what we have today in our society.
Fundamentally the Corinthians needed a renewal of their minds (Rom. 12:2). They were trying to live their Christian lives on the basis of unsanctified common sense which has self-preservation as its ultimate goal. This kind of life is self-seeking, self-serving, and ultimately self-destructive (Luke 9:24–25).David K. Lowery, “1 Corinthians,” in The Bible Knowledge Commentary: An Exposition of the Scriptures, ed. J. F. Walvoord and R. B. Zuck, vol. 2 (Wheaton, IL: Victor Books, 1985), 509.
For some strange reason the corinthian church was divided, they were arguing about who was the right spiritual leader for the church some were saying Paul while others were saying Appolos the church was divided. it sounds to me that there was an altar problem They lost their focus they were not seeing Jesus as they should. and that’s how the devil creeps into to church and into family life and into financial life and into the social life, and worst of all the that’s how he creeps into the spiritual life. that’s why we need to rebuild altar of God; but not only that.

God is Faithful

trials may come; disputes will arise; physical pain will torment us from time to time; we may lose our jobs, but God is faithful. Temptations will come but God is faithful He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear but with the temptation make a way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. 1Cor. 10:13
Oh yes Paul says in 2Cor. 4:8-9 “we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;” the altar is a place where we get to meet with God and confess to Him our challenges, weeknesses and perplexities; brothers and Sisters we are really not doing well sometimes, and so that is why we need to rebuild that family altar. We need to pour out your hearts to God, because God is faithful the Bible says if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. O!!! God help us to trust you enough to rebuild your altar.
