Sherry Ann Ham Lubbock - Sherry Ann Ham, 56, was welcomed by her Heavenly Father on June 18, 2023. She was born in Lubbock, TX on August 22, 1966. She graduated from Garden City High School in Kansas in 1984, received her bachelor's degree from Angelo State University in 1988, and earned her master's degree in 1990.
She met the love of her life, Steve Ham, in her first year at ASU in 1984. They were married on May 24,1987.
Sherry worked as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology for 29 years. She also received her EMT certification and served several years as a volunteer for the San Leon Fire Department.
Sherry was a woman of many unique talents and passions. She was an avid coach's wife as well as a gracious pastor's wife. Countless students and teachers were the recipients of Sherry's compassionate heart and wise counsel. She was masterful at putting the needs of others above her own. She would always ask how she could pray for someone even when her own needs were great. No one left Sherry's presence without feeling valued and unconditionally loved. She was a faithful friend, mentor, and role model, but her favorite title was Mammy to her two sweet grandchildren.
Sherry leaves behind a rich legacy of love, service, and joy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Carroll, a son, Samuel Carroll, and a daughter, Abigail Marie. Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Dotson, son-in-law, Jordan Dotson, grandson, Joshua Michael Dotson, granddaughter, Landry Abigail Dotson, her parents, numerous family members, and many treasured friends.
A memorial service celebrating Sherry's life will be held on Wednesday, June 21st at 2 pm at the Chapel of First Baptist Church 2201 Broadway Lubbock, TX.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to King David's Kids, an organization founded by Sherry to serve special needs children and their families. The website can be found at kingdavidskids.org.

36 At Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did. 37 But it happened in those days that she became sick and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room. 38 And since Lydda was near Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them. 39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he had come, they brought him to the upper room. And all the widows stood by him weeping, showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them. 40 But Peter put them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up. 41 Then he gave her his hand and lifted her up; and when he had called the saints and widows, he presented her alive. 42 And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed on the Lord. 43 So it was that he stayed many days in Joppa with Simon, a tanner.
