Welcome/Explanation of DBS
Good Morning Church, How is everyone doing this morning?
Explanation of Discovery Bible Study
Discovery Bible Study is a approach to study God’s word all around the world.
LMC has started an initiative to do DBS across the conference and encouraged churches to introduce it to the congregation.
We have chosen to do this on a sunday morning because it is the best way to introduce every member of the church to DBS.
We will have another DBS session in July followed by a Discussion and Survey for people who are interested in doing DBS in Connect Groups outside of Sunday Service in the Fall.
I want to thank members of the worship ministry and discipleship ministry for collaborating to make this effort happen. This is in line with both mission statements to nurture and equip each other for ministry and lead people into deeper relationship with God and each other. We come to church to worship and encounter God. This is another way to do it church. It may be out of line with our comfort zones, but it is not out of line what the church is called to do to gather and devote ourselves to God’s word.
