“Help me with my Understanding”

John 3:16

We find Jesus still talking with Nicodemus about this issue of being born again. It is beyond human understanding of how a person can be born a second time. It is also beyond human understanding how God can be a man. It is also beyond our understanding that God would come into flesh to become the son of God that represented his humanity and humility. And then that he would be beaten and killed that every human that believed that Jesus died for him or her would have everlasting life.  One thing I must remind you of this one thing God says: "“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. " (Isaiah 55:8-9, NKJV) [i]  It is beyond our understanding

It is the mind of God that he loves his creation so much that he would lay down his life for us, so we would not die and go to hell. "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8, NKJV)

God wants to love the hell out of you. He does not want you to die and go to hell but live eternity forever with him. This is what you must understand, that God gave it all so that we could live it all. Life starts with the love of God. God loved us while we were still sinning that he gave us the only begotten son that we may have everlasting life and His love for us cost him the blood of his son.

g.     Let’s look at the kind of Love he displayed.

h.     It is agapo not agape

i.        Agape is a brotherly type of love.

j.        Agapo is a love that is shown love, demonstrate love, Action. It means everlasting love, this is where we get the idea of unconditional love

k.     God shows his Authority and Deity that he can and will  demonstrate his love which is the ultimate love but will also love us in a special way.

l.        It is in the Aorist, active, Indicative

a.      God planed to gave he son to die.

b.     This word gave is the word to give a gift to someone

c.     He gave us the perfect gift, his only begotten Son

e.      God is always aware of what we need

f.       If you have a need God makes ways that they can be met, the problem is that we don’t understand the way he works.

g.     God is not a lucky charm, that we think about when in need.

h.     The whosoever is the non-believer, at one time in your life you were in the whosoever group.
