Jesus had the authority to call these men to a new occupation.
The disciples showed immediate obedience to Jesus’ command.
We must be careful, quick obedience must also count the cost!
Also, we must be careful when preachers/evangelist/teachers come on the seen and demand that we follow them. This will become a cult and lead to spiritual abuse.

He had authority over the synagogue.
We can go to church but that doesn’t mean we are children of God.
If we are not careful, the church can become more about a us than it is about Jesus!
He had authority over the unclean spirit.
Demon forces are real!
However, they are no match to our sovereign king.
Jesus’ preaching was authoritative!
