Majestic finale?
Paul has charged Timothy with a task that was so large that He needed the proper motivation and courage. That motive is God Himself. He is our all in all

I. His Character

1 Timothy 6:15 NASB95
15 which He will bring about at the proper time—He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords,

1. The Sovereign

“Blessed and Only Sovereign”
sovereign = power δῠνάστης - we get our dynamite and dynasty from this word.
He is sovereign over the big stuff like major shake-ups in ruling countries and huge storms that bring us to our knees.
He is sovereign over the little stuff too like safety to and from work, providing daily food for you and your family.
He is blessed. He is the happy sovereign. The fortunate ruler because His plan always works and He always wins. He brings happiness to all those of His kingdom.
He is the only dynasty. All others are under His control and are nothing compared to His. His kingdom and reign is like a mighty castle made of granite with a real drawbridge. All other kingdoms and rulers are like little lego sets of mismatched pieces.
May no earthly ruler “dazzle” our eyes the way the Lord Jesus should. He is the real deal with real power to exact change.

2. The Ruler

“King of kings and Lord of lords”
Daniel 2:47 NASB95
47 The king answered Daniel and said, “Surely your God is a God of gods and a Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries, since you have been able to reveal this mystery.”
George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Ghengis Khan, Napolean, Alexander the Great, Pharoah, Ceasar, or whatever other great or powerful ruler you can think of, all of them bow the knee to Jesus. That is as true today as it was true then. All the rulers on the world stage today, everyone from Joe Biden to Justin Treudaeu to Vlademir Putin, to Kim Jong Un, to Benjamin Netenyahu, to Xi Jinping to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei are all but trained dogs that must come to heel when the master commands them.
Are you concerned about world events. It is normal and quite human to do so, but Jesus is in ultimate control. Though the storm rages and rocks the boat in which we ride, the Master is on board and with the words “peace, be still” the winds and the waves must obey. Pay no attention to the storm, but only to the Savior.

3. The Immortal

1 Timothy 6:16 NASB95
16 who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.
“possesses immortality”
Death cannot touch Him.
We only borrow life from Jesus. It is only because of Him that we are alive at all.
Angels will live forever as heavenly beings and humans have immortal conscious souls, but we did not give this to ourselves or develop it through our own intellect. We have been granted immortality by the only God who is by His very nature immortal.
If Jesus were to cut off access to us of His power of immortality, our flicker of life would instantly fade to nothing.
Paul put it this way when speaking to the worldly wise but spiritually ignorant philosophers on Mars Hill in Athens
Acts 17:28 NASB95
28 for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’

5. Unapproachable Light

“dwells in unapproachable light”
John 1:18 NASB95
18 No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.
But how can John say then...
1 John 3:2 NASB95
2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.
because in our current state we cannot see Him. Our nature must be changed
1 Corinthians 15:50 NASB95
50 Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
2 Corinthians 4:6 NASB95
6 For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

II. His Adoration

1 Timothy 6:16 NASB95
16 who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.

1. He Deserves Honor

honor - that which is paid in token of worth or value. When Jesus was born, the wise men brought him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. They brought him present equal to dignity that He deserved.
The Letters to Timothy and Titus B. Final Charge to Timothy (6:11–21)

At least four theological implications follow: (1) humans cannot understand everything; (2) God is not obligated to explain anything; (3) Christians must humbly believe and cherish what God has revealed; and (4) God deserves praise for what he does and does not explain.”925

2. He Deserves Allegiance

If you are going to battle what kind of person do you want to lead you? Wouldn’t look to biggest, strongest, smartest, most experienced soldier you know. Like king David’s 30 mighty men.
2 Samuel 23:8–10 NASB95
8 These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb-basshebeth a Tahchemonite, chief of the captains, he was called Adino the Eznite, because of eight hundred slain by him at one time; 9 and after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David when they defied the Philistines who were gathered there to battle and the men of Israel had withdrawn. 10 He arose and struck the Philistines until his hand was weary and clung to the sword, and the Lord brought about a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to strip the slain.
Whenever you are down and feel like giving up in the battle for truth. What keeps you going?
Look to Jesus He is the motivation.
