Philippians 4:13 KJV 1900
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Ephesians 3:14–16 KJV 1900
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
1 Timothy 1:12 KJV 1900
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

I. Introduction.

A. We serve an awesome and mighty God! We ought to show forth His praises because of how great He really is.

Psalm 150:2 KJV 1900
Praise him for his mighty acts: Praise him according to his excellent greatness.

B. There are so many things in this life that we don’t understand, but we must understand this one thing, and that is, the House of God is where your strength and encouragement can be found! Answers can be found!

Mark 2:25–26 KJV 1900
And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him? How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?

1. Asaph knew this concept as well.

Psalm 73:1–3 KJV 1900
Truly God is good to Israel, Even to such as are of a clean heart. But as for me, my feet were almost gone; My steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, When I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
Psalm 73:16–17 KJV 1900
When I thought to know this, It was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; Then understood I their end.

i. Life is so full of surprises that you never really know what to do. Things begin to happen and next thing you know you are off in left field somewhere. However, I have come today to give you an answer to all of your problems today!

a. People will look for their answer in a bottle.
b. People will look for their answer in drugs.
c. People will look for their answer in sports.
d. People will look for their answer in monetary success.
e. People will look for their answer in things.
f. Etc, etc.
g. Paul came upon a group of people that were seeking to serve whatever they could to find satisfaction in their life and this is what he told them:
Acts 17:23 KJV 1900
For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

II. We need Jesus!

A. I have come to do the same to you today!

1. You won't find what you are looking for in this world! You will only find it in Jesus. All things that you need are in and through Jesus Christ!

2. Feel out the Holy Ghost. Maybe tell your testimony. Talk to the young people.

3. Jesus is your answer!

4. Cast everything upon Him for He cares for you!

1 Peter 5:6–7 KJV 1900
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

5. You don’t have to get high to live a “carefree life”. You just need Jesus! Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life! Jesus is the only way.

John 14:6 KJV 1900
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

6. God wants you to know and understand that money, things, even popularity are not what is going to fill that emptiness inside. Only He Can. He said to come unto me all that are heavy laden, and He will give you rest. We’ve got to have Jesus.

Matthew 11:28–30 KJV 1900
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

7. God teaches us in so many ways how that He is in control, and we can’t fix anything on our own. We have got to have Jesus!

Philippians 4:19 KJV 1900
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

B. We have a High Priest that feels our infirmities. We have an advocate today. He knows exactly where you are and what’s going on in your life. Jesus is all you need, that’s it and that’s all!

Hebrews 4:14–16 KJV 1900
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

C. Paul came to a realization that he needed Jesus more than anything. Paul went through a lot of things in his walk with God and even just facing life in general.

2 Corinthians 11:24–12:9 KJV 1900
Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not? If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not. In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me: And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands. It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

1. Paul came to a realization that God can best use us and perfect us when we are at a weaker state in life.

2. It’s His grace that will bring us through whatever situation we are going through.

III. Jesus was the plan the whole time.

John 1:1–5 KJV 1900
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
John 1:10–14 KJV 1900
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

A. God even from the beginning of time has always wanted us to leave our lives in His hands.

B. There is only one way to God and that is through Jesus Christ. Therefore if we want to be saved we must find out how we are commanded to go about it!

1 John 2:1–3 KJV 1900
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

C. The very first message ever preached about Salvation was on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2.

Acts 2:32–38 KJV 1900
This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Until I make thy foes thy footstool. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

1. It’s still Jesus!

D. Wherever Jesus is there is no need of a sun or moon. Because HE is the light!

Revelation 21:23 KJV 1900
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Revelation 22:5 KJV 1900
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

1. If you are tired of darkness in your life let Jesus come and light up your world driving the darkness far from you!

2 Peter 2:9–10 KJV 1900
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
