Let’s Look at the Spectacular Promises of God to Those Who Fear Him.

With them he shares the secrets of his covenant.

“To destroy both body and soul in hell” does not mean that a person would cease to exist, but that he would live a worthless existence… suffering waste and ruin forever and ever.

has not given us a spirit of fear.

(i) Pilate for fear of being reported to Caesar as allowing another man to claim to be king, turned Jesus over to the crowd to be crucified.
(ii) Aaron yielded to the desire of the people to make them a god that they might worship (Exodus 32; 1-6, 23-24).
