Priestly Line (28:1-2)

God sovereignly and unilaterally chose who would serve him as a priest.
God has sovereignly chosen and elected us to be his servants.

Priestly Uniform (28:1-43)

The uniform harkens back to the Garden of Eden with the gems that are used.
We also see that these are royal uniforms because they serve royalty: God himself. (Ex. 28:41)
The priests God before God on behalf of Israel with their names upon their bodies. They also have the sin of the people upon their head. (vs. 36)
Jesus is our great high priest that takes our sin upon himself on the cross. Rising from the dead he makes an everlasting priesthood.

Priestly Installment (29:1-46)

God installs the priests in a seven day feast, once again referring back to creation.
The chapter ends with God dwelling among his people.
We are now a new priesthood and God dwells with us! (Ex. 19:7 and 1 Pet 2:9)
What does that mean?
We should live holy lives because God is in our midst.
We should live in unity because we belong to God.
We should implore others to come to salvation.
