Jesus’ answer was- Take Heed
He gets to the anwer of we don’t know in verse 32
But the answer is to take heed

One action of a christian is one of defense
Protecting ourselves from the lies and traps of this world
Ephesians 6:11-20 the armour of God

Take Heed from deceit (5-8)

Many will come claiming to be the Christ
But there is only one Christ and when he returns he will come in victory
Until then we should not be surprised to see nations fighting against nation
Many will claim to know the end of all things
hearing of wars or rumours of wars
be not troubled

Take Heed from giving up (9-13)

Many believers will be beaten and persecuted
This is for Christ’s sake
We will suffer just as he suffered
Many will hear the gospel before the end comes
The old testament believers asked how long
But we endure that the gospel will be proclaimed to all people and that we will be saved in the end

Take Heed from earthly comforts (14-31)

Many will be comfortable in cities with their lives going as planned
Having babies, planting and reaping
But in the day of judgment do not go get any of it because it will all be destroyed in the end
Even the sun and the stars will come to there end
The disciples were amazed that the temple stones would be destroyed, Jesus reminds them that it all is temporary
The only eternal thing is the words of Jesus Christ (30)

Take Heed from sleep (32-36)

We must all watch and pray as we wait for the hour to come
We have been given a work to do, let us not be found lazy
We have been given authority, let us use if for his glory
Many will not be prepared for the day of the Lord
Take Heed means to watch for the day of the Lord
