National Day of Prayer

How to foster Unity
Unity of the (C)hurch, Nation, Community, Family
Romans 12:9–18 (NKJV)
9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. 17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
Honor Others
V:10- In Honor- (Hospitable) Giving of yourself and serving for the sake of another
1 Peter 4:8-10 “8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” 9 Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. 10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
-Lord Help Us to use the gifts and talents you have given us to serve others as Jesus has served us
Speak good of Others
V:14&15- Bless (Praise) those that we might not see eye to eye with.
Matt 5:44 “44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,”
-Lord Help us to find ways to speak praises over those that are adversarial to us.
-Remind us Lord that they are created in the Image of God;
-Help us Lord to to Rejoice with them and to weep and care for them when in need.
-Give us the ability to Love and care like you as our father do for us.
Be slow to respond with your thoughts or actions
